Ryan and Blake Lively decided on an unusualname for their baby, and eventually confirmed the news we had all already guessed

We have been speculating for weeks about the name of Ryan and Blake’s baby daughter, and the star of ‘The Proposal’ and new film ‘Woman in Gold’ has finally confirmed that she is called James.

Ryan talked about his baby as he appeared on The Today Show - watch the video below.

The TV host began the conversation saying: “You did say a few months ago, before she was born, that you were going to name her Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds. So can we call her Anna at least — short for Anaconda?”

Luckily the famous couple didn’t go with Anaconda, but Ryan did tease us that the little one was stuck with the monika Butternut Summersquash - hopefully a legion of Ryan fans won’t suddenly adopt that name.

“It’s James,” the proud papa said on a more serious note. “Everyone knows.

“I didn’t want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media. Because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, ‘Why did you do that?’”

James was number 9 in the top 50 boys names for 2013.
