350g minced turkey thigh

½ apple, peeled and grated

1 small carrot, peeled and grated

¼ red pepper, finely diced

1 small onion, chopped

1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped

30g Cheddar cheese, grated

45g Panko breadcrumbs

TO SERVE

Mini burger buns
-
Large pretzels
-
Cherry tomatoes

Cake décor edible eyes (from Tesco)

Cocktail sticks
-
Lettuce

Mayonnaise

Measure all of the burger ingredients into a food processor. Whiz until finely chopped. Season and shape into 15 mini burgers.

Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Fry the burgers for 2 to 3 minutes each side until golden and cooked through

Place a lettuce leaf on top of the halved bun, and then add the burger and then the top of the bun. Break a pretzel into two. Stick each half into the top of the bun to make antlers. Attach a cherry tomato for the nose using a cocktail stick and finally stick the eyes onto the burger bun using a dab of mayonnaise.
*Be careful to remove the cocktail sticks for little ones before tucking in
