It’s been quite the day for celebrity pregnancies – first there were the rumours surrounding Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, and now Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien has confirmed she is expecting.
The 30-year-old actress took to Twitter this afternoon to tell her followers that she and partner Adam Crofts are pregnant with their first child together, who will be a baby brother or sister to her five-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
‘So @adstraining85 and I have some lovely news.....’ she captioned an image of her ultrasound scan.
An hour later, she tweeted: ‘Thanks for your lovely comments we are so happy! Can't wait to have a little brother or sister for Scarlett to boss around.’
Her Corrie co-star Samia Ghadie was quick to add her congratulations, writing: ‘Woohoo!! Amazing news guys.. Huge hugs n love!! Xx’
Hollyoaks’ Nikki Sanderson tweeted: ‘Omg congratulations sweetie!! That's fantastic news!! Lots of love to u all xxx’
Tina posted this ultrasound of her unborn baby
Tina has been with 28-year-old personal trainer Adam for three years since they met in a coffee shop.
She can actually thank her little daughter for their chance encounter, as she told Reveal.
‘I remember walking in with Scarlett and she spotted this guy sitting at a table with a laptop.
‘She’s so chatty and went over to say, “Hello, man!” I was about to tell her not to talk to strangers, when I looked at him. It turned out he was seriously fit! I thought, “Good choice, Scarlett,” and asked his name.’
Although Tina said she wasn’t looking for romance at the time – she had just split up with Scarlett’s father, _Corrie’_s Ryan Thomas – but as they got on so well she said yes when he asked her out a few weeks later.
‘So Scarlett was basically my matchmaker!’ Tina added.
How’s that for a story? We wish Tina, Adam and Scarlett all the best – and we’re looking forward to seeing Tina’s baby bump!
