When you’re at home with your baby, you miss the office buzz – and when you’re at your desk, all you want is to be at home with the kids. We all know the work/life balance dilemma, and Lily Allen’s no exception.
The singer, 29, talks about her hectic career and how much she relishes time off with her daughters Ethel, two and Marnie, one, in a new interview.

‘My dream is to be at home all the time, and when I am at home I want to be working,’ she says in the new OK!, out today.

‘At the moment, I’m working so hard and moving so fast, I know when I stop I’ll get ill. So having five days off, I’m worried I’m going to get sick. But I love getting to spend real time with my children. They come away with me most of the time, but when I’m working, I’m working.’

Lily also reveals Ethel likes to sing, but she’s not planning to push her daughters towards a similar showbiz career.
‘I don’t mind if they want to – I just want them to be happy. People shouldn’t be steered to do anything unless they want to do, and as a parent you should encourage them,’ she says.
