A classic Cat in the Hat costume! This great costume creates an effective and recognisable outfit with only a couple of props. It's a great idea if you need to get changed quickly or want something simple. Plus, if you have twins, we love the idea of dressing them up as Thing 1 and Thing 2!

The funniest bit about this outfit is the eyebrows – just note you do have to be careful with them, "they will wax and rip out your own. Be prepared for that." Commented one reader.

Available in two sizes, the main downside reviewers found was that the jacket arrived creased in the packaging. The tester went on to say, "having smoothed it out and hung it on a hanger, it was absolutely fine to wear the following day. Will keep hold of it for the next world book day."

We all love Julia Donaldson's tales for children. Why not dress up as one of her most popular (but also one of the naughtiest!) characters, the High Way Rat? Just don't steal any food! We love this out of the box idea and reviewers found all parts of the costume were well made, easy to wear and comfortable. "Especially the 2 masks for the face (nose and eye)." Commented one reviewer.
