With Black Friday just around the corner, the excitement is building, especially for busy parents like you. We know there’s nothing quite like the thrill of scoring great deals on products that make parenting a little easier.
And guess what? It’s not just in your head! When you treat yourself or grab something special for your little one, studies show your brain releases feel-good hormones like endorphins and dopamine, giving you that happy boost. Plus, research shows that enjoying these little pleasures is important for your well-being—so don’t hold back!
As you prepare for the shopping frenzy this Black Friday, we asked the Mother&Baby team to share the parenting and baby products they’ll be adding to their carts during the big Black Friday sale!
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday traditionally takes place on the Friday following Thanksgiving in the United States, featuring massive discounts from shops and online retailers. It has now become the biggest shopping day of the year in the UK as well. You can expect to find incredible deals on baby products, tech and electronics, fashion, homewares, and much more.
The discounts don’t stop on Black Friday; they continue throughout the weekend, with even more sales rolling out—not just on the day itself. We’re thrilled to discover all the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for babies. Expect discounts on THOUSANDS of items! Naturally, we’ll cover all the essentials, including highchairs, travel cots, toys, and more. What would a list of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday baby deals be without these must-haves?
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday used to be just one day, but those days are long gone. Last year, we enjoyed a full month of deals, giving us plenty of opportunities to tackle our Christmas gift shopping early. This year, Black Friday falls on November 29, followed by even more discounts on Cyber Monday, December 2.

What the Mother&Baby staffers are adding to their carts this Black Friday 2024
Maria Martin, Digital Group Editor
“My children are 3 and 5 years old, so the cold, bumps, and bruises can be a bit more frequent in the colder months. These are on my radar to help my little ones when they're not feeling well or simply to pop in their pockets on walks during cold days to keep their hands warm.”
“My 3-year-old daughter is getting really interested in riding a bicycle, especially after watching her older brother learn to ride, so I'm on the hunt for a deal on this one. Plus, it's Peppa Pig, which she loves.”
“My 5-year-old son is really into conducting experiments, so to save him from using up all the washing-up liquid and to give me ideas on how I can interact with him further, this book looks excellent.”
“I’m trying to encourage my 5-year-old to be confident with numbers and telling the time. He also loves Spider-Man, so a good smartwatch for kids is on my radar.”
"With the colder months fast approaching, I've been eyeing a small, compact indoor trampoline. I'm hoping to score a good deal on this one for my 3- and 5-year-old."
"My 3-year-old loves these Tom Fletcher 'There's a...' books, and I think this would make a perfect stocking filler or addition to a Christmas Eve box."
Stephanie Spencer, Hub Editor
“I've been debating getting a nappy bin, but one of my mum friends recently told me it's definitely worth it! So, I'm hoping to get a discount on the Vital Baby Hygiene Nappy Bin—it doesn't require expensive refill cassettes and locks in any stink to save trips to the outside bin!”
Lorna White, Products Editor
“We know how important hydration is, particularly when you’re breastfeeding—it’s seriously thirsty work. While I’m hoping there will be some discounts on Stanley cups, I’m also going to keep an eye out for popular alternatives that cost a fraction of the price. Not only do these clever insulated drinking cups keep your icy water ice cold all night, but they can also keep a hot cup of tea warm, so you’ll never need to drink a lukewarm cuppa again!”
Emily Gilbert, Features & Reviews Editor
"My son starts weaning this month, so I’m hoping to pick up this BIBaDO starter set, as I’ve heard great things about the coverall bib for minimising all the mess that inevitably comes with introducing food to a baby!"
Samantha Ball, Features & Reviews Editor
“I'm hoping to buy this as my seven-year-old son loves hot chocolates, and we recently had one at one of the Hotel Chocolat cafes, and he said it was the best one he's ever had! Christmas isn't an easy time for us, so I'm hoping this will add some magic back into our evenings throughout the festive period when we're watching films with a cup of 'the best hot chocolate.'”

"I really wanted a nightlight for my four-year-old because he's frightened of the dark. I love that this lamp can be controlled via my phone and it works in conjunction with the Nanit baby monitor."
Laura Healy, Commercial Content Writer
“My four-year-old will turn five in December, and she is desperate to have a tablet like her older sister. We told her she had to wait until she was five, just like her sister did. It is hard to think of both birthday and Christmas presents at the same time, so this tablet would make it a little bit easier, especially with a Black Friday deal.”
Zara Mohammed, Digital Writer
“I'll be keeping my eye on Yankee Candles and gift sets to see if they've been discounted during the Black Friday sales. They make great Christmas gifts for mum friends and families!”
Rebecca Lancaster, Digital Writer
“My daughter loves music and is constantly the 'DJ' on our family Google Home Mini speaker. So this Black Friday, I've got my eye on an Echo Dot Kids. Not that I don't want to listen to her music on repeat, but I know she'd get a kick out of being able to play music in her bedroom!"

"My baby boy actually turns one on Black Friday itself, so I'm planning to hold off on buying birthday and Christmas presents until then. He is such a daredevil, so I'm going to be snapping up a ride-on toy bike for him to scoot around in.”

“He also loves swimming and the bath, so this Tomy Foam Cone Factory will keep him entertained for ages.”
“I'm also going to be stocking up on all the baby board books, the noisier the better!”

“In terms of clothes, I love Blade & Rose's leggings; they are so comfy and wash so well.”

“My son is a big fan of The Gruffalo, and we want to establish a reading routine with him. To help with that, I’ll be choosing a book advent calendar and gifting him The Gruffalo and Friends Advent Calendar Book Collection.”
“My son is a little chef in the making, so this Black Friday, my husband and I are going all out to get him his very first kitchen set! We struggled to find something suitable for his age, as most sets are for kids aged 3 and up. But then I discovered the Learning Resources New Sprouts Prep ‘n Store Kitchen Island, designed for ages 2 and up. I know this will make his toddler dreams come true! He’s always smashing our pots and pans and rummaging through the cupboards, so it’s definitely time for him to have his own kitchen playset.

“When my son was born, one of his first snowsuits came from a family-run business that specialises in baby and toddler wear. I fell in love with their designs and quality! This Black Friday, they’re offering 25% off sitewide with code BF25, and I’ll be stocking up on winter outfits for my little guy. I’ve got my eye on this cosy blue snowsuit—it looks perfect for keeping him warm this winter!”

“My son is absolutely obsessed with The Gruffalo—it’s a family favourite! Spending Christmas morning in The Gruffalo Christmas Fairisle Jumper from Jojo Maman Bébé is a must. It’s super festive, looks warm, and will definitely keep him toasty on Christmas Day!”
