With weather on a day like today – a trip to the cinema can be a life-saver to keep the kids (and you) entertained

The new animated film featuring your toddler’s favourites trains – Thomas & Friends, Tale of the Brave, arrives at Vue cinemas across the UK today ahead of its DVD release on 1st September.

Tale of the Brave marks the arrival of new characters Marion, Reg and Gator steaming onto the big screen.

After a monstrous storm on the Island of Sodor, a landslide unearths some giant footprints on the slopes of The Clay Pits. Thomas and Percy are eager to find out what could have made these marks but obstacles and danger seem to appear around every bend in the track.

With the help of new friends, a little digging, and a heap of courage, they discover the surprising answer and, along the way, uncover the true meaning of bravery.

Danny Wallace and son Elliott give Thomas a thumbs up.

At the premiere, Dad Danny Wallace said, ‘I thoughts the film was very good, couple of funny moments, some scary moments, it’s weird seeing Thomas as a CGI. Fun for all the family’.

And if you can’t make it along to a Vue cinema this week, the DVD is available from 1st September (result!).
