Changing your baby's nappycan be a daunting part of being a new parent, but what if it was possible for you to know instantly when it needed to be changed?

Google’s sister company Verily has teamed up with Pampers' to create new 'smart nappies' to alert you when your baby's nappy is wet and needs to be changed.

Pampers' tweeted and shared the news of their new nappy range: "Introducing Lumi by Pampers, the world's first all-in-one connected care system that is revolutionizing baby monitoring, developed in partnership with #Verily and @Logitech #lumibypampers"

The device called 'Lumi' to launch later this year connects the sensor on the smart nappy with the parent's phone where they will receive a notification if the nappy needs to be changed.

They can also track the baby's feeding, wetting and sleep routines through the app.

After purchasing the Lumi, an all-in-one connected system, it says you have to replace the sensor every three months.

This new technology aims to monitor patterns and gives parents a look into their baby's routines.

While tracking their baby's routines, this device provides parents with their baby's weekly and monthly data so they could even share this with their GP.
