If, like us, you live a Jo Malone lifestyle on a discount supermarket budget, then today is a happy, happy, day.

Aldi have announced a new range of their Jo Malone inspired products and prices start at a really very reasonable £2.99.

The German supermarket chain will be adding perfume, body lotion, body wash and body crème to it’s existing candle and room sprays offering, so you can smell like a high maintenance mamma for a fraction of the price of the real thing.

It launches in stores on 1 March, just in time for Mother's Day, and will be available to pre-order online at Aldi a week earlier, from 25 February.

The complete new collection includes:

• Luxury Eau De Toilette (100ml), £5.99 - compared to Jo Malone's £108
• Luxury Body Crème (175ml), £4.99 - compared to Jo Malone's £64.50
• Luxury Hand and Body Wash (250ml), £2.99 - compared to Jo Malone's £42.50
• Luxury Hand and Body Lotion (250ml), £2.99 - compared to Jo Malone's £54

We did the maths, and the whole bundle would set you back just under £17, compared to £269 for the real deal.

The products are available in three scents, Lime, Basil & Mandarin; Freesia & Pear; and Pomegranate, which is a ringer for Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir.

Julie Ashfield, joint managing director of corporate buying for Aldi, said: “Since the launch of our Jo Malone inspired candles, we’ve been thrilled with the reaction from customers, and are excited to be extending the Luxury Collection in time for Mother’s Day.

“The beautiful scents of the Eau De Toilette and the luxurious feel of the Body Crème, Hand and Body Wash, and Hand and Body Lotion, all make the ideal gifts for loved ones.”
