With a focus on gentle and relaxing movements, this postnatal yoga workout with Instructor Live fitness expert Susan Yu will take you through a 45-minute class in the comfort of your own home. You can choose to work through the whole video in one go (perfect for when your baby’s having his afternoon nap) or split it up into shorter sessions to do when you have 10 minutes spare.
You’ll learn how to relax your mind and body through simple breathing techniques
Once you’ve got your water and other equipment, follow Susan’s clear and concise instructions for each exercise. This workout is perfect whether you’ve had a c-section or a natural birth, as long as your GP has said you’re ready to exercise again, Susan will talk you through how each stretch should feel and how you can make it easier or more difficult, depending on how you find it.
You’ll start with some floor stretches, following mid-level and standing movements – all designed to help strengthen your core and ease any post-labour muscle pains you may be experiencing.
