The Nuna MYTI is an ultra-resistant forward-facing car seat that has nine adjustable positions to suit your child's preference. It also has a headrest and adjustable shoulder width, which expands while your little one grows.
How did this product make your life easier?
Anna: The Nuna MYTI is very lightweight and easy to put into the car. My husband and I have separate cars and so it was much easier to swap the car seats around if we were using a different car on a particular day. It was also very slim compared to some others which made it easier to fit in alongside other children.
Christine: I really liked this car seat. It was super sturdy and solid which made it seem safe. The fact it grows with your child means it could be in use for years which justifies the high price. My daughter looked comfortable in the car seat and although it did not recline fully due to the shape of my back seats, it reclined enough for her to have a snooze!
Jade: This Nuna MYTI car seat is extendable but very heavy and chunky. This is a good car seat and looks very safe, I wouldn’t worry about putting my child in here, it has a lot of padding and Isofix to add to the safety of the seat. It’s a nice looking car seat but as previously stated very chunky and heavy which makes it a little hard work.
Would you recommend this to other mums?
Holly: I would 100% recommend this to a friend or fellow mum. You pay a little more at the beginning but the product is heavy, robust, good looking and very comfortable (as advised by my 5-year-old who doesn't want to give it back). I think this is the cheaper way than buying separate systems as the children get older and I now have realised this and this product has made me realise the extra money for the quality of the product and the durability is well worth it.
Eilidh: The seat is nice a padded so looks quite comfy. Although my son is quite big for his age and I think he would grow out of the seat quite quickly. The seat was also quite difficult to install as it was very heavy and had various parts that needed to be strapped in. I also found the straps difficult to use and would not recommend this car seat over the one I already have.
Claire: I would recommend this product to a fellow mum as it is clearly well thought out and absolutely fulfills all requirements relating to a forward-facing car seat for an older child. It is so easy to install with the Isofix fastening system and is very comfortable to use. I felt it looked good in my car and didn’t look overly bulky or impracticable. The light feature allowing you to see the car seat belt in dark conditions was a little bit of a gimmick but actually came in handy a couple of times. This feature was what my daughter felt was the best about this seat, but this may be due to being the only real difference between this and her usual model. It was plastic construction with a fabric outer which seems wipeable for any spillages although I did not personally need to clean the seat. I felt the car seat would last the duration of my child’s requirements for it as it felt like the good build quality and the fabric felt of good quality not to rip with multiple uses. I would definitely recommend this product.
Would you choose this product to win?
Jade: I would choose the Nuna MYTI in this category but wouldn’t choose it in the booster category, the lower category I would. Its finish is perfect and very high end, the seat looks comfortable and safe, it’s a nice looking car seat and with Isofix added it’s a safe car seat that has a lovely finish to it.
Beth: As car seats go, you feel like you are getting something really substantial that is the height of design, safety, construction, and quality. I would totally support this seat to win as I feel like it is a cut above the rest when you look across the other car seats in this category. Whilst it is perhaps at the higher range of other seats in this category, it can be used right the way through until children no longer need to use a car seat, and because of the quality, I think it would still stand the test of time. For this reason, it still represents good value for money.
Caroline: I think this is a really premium product with fantastic styling. With the exception of it being very heavy, it delivers on every aspect you are looking for when picking a car seat. It is safe, easy to use and attractive. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a car seat up to 12 years. Both my 18-month-old and my 5-year-old were very impressed with it.
What changes would you make to this product?
Christine: I really liked this Nuna MYTI car seat but the ease of fitting/weight of the seat would be the aspect which would put me off purchasing it. If the seat sat on a separate base, to allow the seat to be moved into two sections, this may be easier for people like me who need to move the car seat in and out of the car regularly.
Carly: The one thing about this product that I would change would be the weight of it. I struggled to lift it in and out of the car and had to ask for help from my husband. This weight of this product would put me off moving it from car to car. For example, most families have two cars or for when the children go to grandparents' houses.
Anna: If I could change anything about this product I would use better quality material and perhaps make it feel a little more sturdy, although this may take away from the advantage of it being so lightweight and easy to carry from car to car. Other than that, I wouldn't change anything else as it was a lovely seat.
