At a glance:
A yoga mat designed with mums-to-be in mind, with extra thick padding for added comfort and a non-slip surface which is reliable and durable. We love the hot pink colour, and how convenient it is to roll up and transport.
What they say:
“Safety and comfort are Tara’s top priorities when she’s teaching yoga, and the BUMP mat gives her the assurance that her students will neither slip during their practice nor suffer pain when they sink into those deeper poses and inversions. The incredible traction of the BUMP mat comes from the crisscross pattern of its textured surface, while its double thickness gives superior support to expectant mothers and students with injuries or tender joints.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?
I am a mother to three children, two of whom are autistic. Yoga is a really calming experience for me and I have and will continue to recommend this mat to anyone that is willing to listen. I think many mums and dads will love this mat if they give it a chance. It is easy to wipe down after a sweaty 30 minutes and it's easy to dry and roll up to put away for the next session too. I also found that it always stayed in one spot, it is completely non-slip.
How did this product make your life easier?
Since using this mat I am not as restless as I used to be. I was very stressed and uptight but now I've learnt some calming methods which have helped me become a much more understanding mother to three (soon to be four) children. Life can be pretty stressful with kids so this has become a life saver and even my children like to copy mummy and join in.
Would you choose this product to win?
I think this yoga mat should win above all others because it is very durable and practical. It's extremely comfy too. I have joint hypermobilty in many areas of my body and seem to ache all the time, but when I use this mat I have no aching or pain at all. I don't think you will find another mat like this for the price either.
What changes would you make to this product?
If I had one minor problem then it would be that it could be a little wider. I am five feet eight and a medium build, and although it works fine, if it was a little wider it would really be a 10 out of 10 product. But that is me being extremely picky! Otherwise it’s perfect.

Would you recommend this to other mums?
Yes, it is easily transportable with carry handles and extremely light weight, yet thick and cushioned. This padding adds comfort and support to your body and also grips well to any surface. I used it on wood flooring and it securely gripped with no movement when being used. I would highly recommend this yoga mat to any of my friends as it is the most comfortable yoga mat I have ever used, supporting me well after the birth of baby and safe to use on any surface!
How did this product make your life easier?
The fact that it has carry handles is really practical. I loved that it was a soft and durable mat that is non-slip - it remained in position through my workout - giving me confidence and making me feel supported! It is the perfect size and also easy to roll up when not in use. I particularly like the thickness of the mat as it truly is very comfortable.
Would you choose this product to win?
Yes, I would recommend this product above all others due to the ease of transportation, the thickness and comfort, the size of the mat and the non-slip material which gave me reassurance after having had a caesarean. Overall a very safe, lightweight, comfortable, mat that I will highly recommend to my pregnant mummy friends
What changes would you make to this product?
I would only change the price, as the overall product ticks every box for a yoga mat in pregnancy or after birth. The price could definitely be lower though.

Would you recommend this to other mums?
I would recommend the product to a friend because it is very good quality, comfortable to practise yoga on and is pleasing to the eye. It is girly and pretty which I love, as previously I had a boring grey mat. Also, because it has the strap, it makes it really easy to transport around and easy to pack away and store. It was also easy to wipe down and keep clean.
How did this product make your life easier?
There is nothing that makes this product easier as a mum specifically, but in general, the mat comes with a handy strap that enables you to roll it up after you've finished and store it efficiently. I have bought yoga mats in the past that don't come with this strap and it’s a nuisance because they unroll themselves!
Would you choose this product to win?
I do not think this product should win on the basis that I think it is far too expensive. With a £55 price tag, I think that is over-priced and unjustified for what it is. I have bought yoga mats in the past for no more than £25 that are just as nice but half the retail price. It is really nice to look at in terms of the colours used and the handy tie that keeps it rolled up is great, but I don't think the price is at all affordable for the average yoga lover.
What changes would you make to this product?
I wouldn't actually change anything about the product itself. The mat is lovely and comfortable, easily stored and transported, it is eye catching and you can wipe it down easily after each use. But I would change the price that it retails at, I wouldn’t buy it myself at this price.

Would you recommend this to other mums?
I would recommend this product to a mummy that loves to exercise, whether it be yoga or Pilates as it stops you slipping and is comfortable under your feet. The mat rolls up relatively small and has a handle to make it easier to transport the back and forth. I love the colour - hot pink is great on the eye. It needs a bit of flattening out when you unroll it, but has a great grip. It is expensive for what it is, although if biodegradability is top priority on your list, then this is the mat for you.
How did this product make your life easier?
It’s soft under your feet and has great grip, which is especially important for your safety when expecting. It has a great carry handle that makes it easy to transport to and from classes and simply can go over your shoulder giving you empty hands to carry other things. It is light weight and compact!
Would you choose this product to win?
I would choose this item to win, even though it is very pricey for an exercise mat. It has so many good qualities, from its colour to its grip, to its padding. The length of the mat is great and I wasn't slipping and sliding once I started sweating.
What changes would you make to this product?
The price is definitely something that will put off new mums or mums to be from buying this mat as it is pretty expensive. Making it more affordable for mums would make it more appealing to us. It is clear though that this yoga mat is definitely of very good quality.

Would you recommend this to other mums?
Yes, it's simple to unroll and to roll up after use, and fantastic that the strap holds it all together safely for transport/storage. The Bump Yoga mat is highly padded, giving me good support under my feet and has a great grip surface so I'm not worried about sliding.
How did this product make your life easier?
The Bump Yoga mat is very simple to use and to store. This makes my morning routine a lot quicker, especially as I have two toddlers. Also, the good grip means that I'm not worried about slips and falls and am able to sail through my work out without any worry.
Would you choose this product to win?
I would choose The Bump Yoga mat to win based on the ease of use, the comfort and the actual style of the mat. It's a vibrant colour that lifts your mood and makes you want to exercise more. I really do love the design of this mat and as I said before, even my children wanted to get involved.
What changes would you make to this product?
If I could change one thing about the Bump Yoga Mat it would be price point. You can definitely see that you get quality for your money, however I feel the price point could potentially put mums off!
