Would you recommend this to other mums?

Stephanie: It appealed to my son. I'm not sure if it was the colours, the animals or the fact that my son loves counting at the moment but he really took a shine to it. This is the first Orchard Toys game I have encountered, but since trying this game I have purchased two more. I think they are great and so educational too. I would definitely recommend.

Sarah: I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends. It is very eye-catching with bright colours and animals that young children will recognise easily. The rules are very simple for a three-year-old to understand so they can even enjoy playing alone. My son has learnt a lot more of his numbers can now count to ten and recognise a few numbers when written which he was not able to do before. He also knows all the animals now.

Annie: I would recommend to my fellow mum friends. The design is good. The pieces are big for little hands and there are bright colours and fun illustrations to count on each piece. It is a fun interactive way of learning while you play. The ability to use it alone on those rainy days or share it is an appealing factor.

How did this product make your life easier?

Sabrina: I would not necessarily say that this product makes my life easier. The product is good to have if you are starting to teach your child numbers as well as quantities. Each card has the numeral as well and the quantity of the number via a vibrant animation. All of these factors help to keep a toddler interested in what you are trying to achieve.

Louise: The product makes my life easier as my daughter can play with it on her own, with friends or with me. I think the storage box could be bigger and sturdier so little people can’t trash it! The toys are very easy to wipe clean which is a huge help against sticky hands.

Amy: My girls loved this game and the multi-functionality of it. They play with it a lot and are able to set it up independently which makes my life easier whilst cooking. They can already count very well but this is good practice. It is also easy to clean if needed.

Would you choose this product to win?

Gemma: Yes. I have previously purchased other games in the range from this manufacturer and always found them to be of decent quality for their purpose. I find them affordable and worth the money. I do love the educational aspect of all of their games and this makes a change from toys. It encourages quality one-on-one time with your child.

Shoma: I think the product is one of the best I have seen for helping children count. The memory element is a little progressive for a three-year-old so an adult might need to sit and explain things. It's not something they could go off and play on their own.  The cards and their size makes it easy to handle but I don't think my daughter would play this for longer than 30 minutes so perhaps a CD with counting songs could be offered alongside to help the child remember the numbers via audio as well as visual.

Stephanie: This makes toddlers education fun. Colours, animals, numbers and counting are all covered. It is easy for a three-year-old to pick it up and play with no guidance. That speaks volumes and is a credit to the design of the product. I haven’t seen anything as diverse as this - you can use it for number recognition, counting and matching pairs. The quality is very good and considers its target audience very carefully. The game still looks brand new and yet it has been played (and abused) many times.

What changes would you make to this product?

Sarah: I don’t think there is anything I would change about this product. My son has got so much enjoyment out it. There has not been one thing he has not loved. Since receiving this product he has played with it every day and still gets as excited now as he did when we first got it.

Annie: I would make the game slightly longer. Instead of 1-15 have the cards go to 20 and the activity might last longer. Although it is a fun little way of learning and we thoroughly enjoyed playing with it. You cannot fault the quality of design.

Sabrina: This is a minor criticism but I would have preferred this game to have gone up to 20. This is a personal preference as I am teaching my child numbers and quantity up to 20. This is small thing to improve. Overall this product is a great addition to a child's toy box and it's a game that can be played with the whole family in various ways.
