Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would definitely recommend this product, it's amazing for mums to keep an eye on their children. It's very easy to use and it keeps my son happy with the mini lightshow. The design is perfectly sized, it's not too big and it's not too small. I absolutely love the BT 7500 Lightshow monitor. It's also easy to travel around with.

How did this product make your life easier?

This product is so easy to use it's made my life so much easier; instead of running to go check on my son I can look into the camera screen and talk to him if needed to. It saves me so much worry as it has a temprature mode so I can see how hot he is in his room. It has given me more time to move around and not run around worrying.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would not change anything at all, it's perfect. All the little details are amazing it's made my life so much easier and would recommend this to everyone.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

We loved the picture quality on the camera in both light and dark. We also really liked fact that the camera can be moved and the lights and music can be turned on and off remotely using the touch screen monitor. The music/lullabies are also great features to help settle little ones before bed. It is really easy to use and looks smart.

How did this product make your life easier?

Being able to see my baby clearly whilst sleeping is very reassuring and the music feature has helped with settling my baby before she goes to sleep. The temperature readings are also very useful in deciding how to dress my baby for bed. The cry alerts are also great to distinguish between sleepy noises and actual crying.

Would you choose this product to win?

I think this is a really good baby monitor but to make it the best it should have a sensor pad or something to guard against cot death for newborns. The monitor is great for my 1 year old but if I were to have another newborn I would use another monitor which had a sensor pad.

What changes would you make to this product?

The one thing I would change about this monitor is to stop the cry alerts going off whilst the music is playing even when your baby is sound asleep. If the music is turned up to its loudest setting it sets off the cry alert so you have to listen to the music through the monitor to tell whether your baby is crying or not.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Wow this is impressive. It looks good, is solid and robust to handle with a visually attractive globe shape design that is sure to impress when removed from the box. The charging docking station - what a breeze to setup and use! A start up wizard and the functions themselves are so simple to use, the touch screen is impressive and makes accessing the features straightforward. The sheer volume of features it offers is amazing without being in any way complex. I love the fact this has so many multi-functional uses and customization functions, erasing the need for overlapping with further products. Pan tilt is really quiet so as not to disturb baby, visually it offers me a clear picture and the sound quality is awesome, it's like a sound system. The temperature control and alert system is a great safety feature to provide peace of mind and adapt clothing and bedding to suit the temperature. As my baby gets older the cry alert function to just alert to crying could be useful. I love the incorporated nightlight, lullabies with nature and white noise options and overhead projector functions. All of this can be customised to suit in various ways providing you with an individual, tailor made approach to sleep that suits individual babies. Sound quality is clear and the lullabies are gorgeously soothing and crisp quality, mum can enjoy them too!

How did this product make your life easier?

Multi-functional features enables you to cater uniquely to your baby’s sleep preferences and it saves me money on purchasing other nursery items to fit specific functionality such as a nightlight, projector, temperature monitor, lullaby item. The monitor has an extra long cable which means it can fit into any room easily and the camera being on the side of the monitor allows you to position it virtually anywhere, even at low heights to get a clear view. The timer option on all of the functions is brilliant allowing me to switch all the functions on and off remotely and to a specific time. If my baby enjoys a particular lullaby I can have it just on repeat so they hear it over and over.

Would you choose this product to win?

I was totally amazed by this product, it offering is much more than a just a baby monitor but a sleep solution station with bells and whistles. It covers everything that I would want a monitor to do for me and more. Its multifunctionality is superb whilst providing quality and a well thought through design aspect to every element of the monitor. The camera is on the side of the monitor and this allows you to virtually position it anywhere in a room opposed to having it at height. This monitor really does do it all and more, I love it!

What changes would you make to this product?

If the lullaby function is on the only way not to hear it itself through the monitor system is to turn down the volume which restricts you to just picture monitoring opposed to sound and picture. It would be great if despite a lullaby playing that I could just have the cry alert mode on to overrun the volume being down so I could still be alerted by sound to any cries.

I got this monitor when I had my third child, It really is the best I've ever had. It can do almost anything you want - the features are endless. You can see your baby on screen, you can hear your baby's slightest noises very clearly and you can even put it on mute and just get an alert if baby cries. You have the option of playing the noise of a hairdryer which many babies find so soothing in the early days. BT have designed this monitor so well - you won't be disappointed!

How did this product make your life easier?

The touch screen is a dream to work. I misplaced my instructions but I was able to work out the features on screen so easily. No more fiddling with numerous buttons and pressing two or three buttons simultaneously to set the features you want. The range of features is endless and everything is top quality. I've become much more confident about leaving my baby in her own room since getting this monitor. It is an expensive piece of kit but worth every penny.

Would you choose this product to win?

There is a great selection of sounds for baby to listen to, the nightlight can be set to low, medium or high and the light show is entertaining and soothing for baby. The camera is by far the best feature as it can be adjusted remotely and has a vast range. I found the camera picture very clear - even when the room was quite dark. However, I live in an old house (pre-1900) with thick stone walls and I did find that the link between the baby and parent units was lost at times (but I expected this).

What changes would you make to this product?

I would make it with the option to put batteries in the baby unit for back up. The trip went up the other evening in our house and the electricity went off. When I turned the trip on again the baby unit remained off. Therefore I had to go into baby's room again and turn on the baby unit. I'd prefer not to have to do this as I am afraid of disturbing my baby. Battery back up in the baby unit would be beneficial if there are power cuts.

This monitor is no doubt the best I have ever used. It is so easy to use! I took it on holiday and forgot the instruction booklet but still managed to navigate my way around easily. Both the monitor and camera and well designed, sturdy and top quality. The touch screen is so easy to work your way around it's (almost) fool proof! I also loved the quality of the sound of the lullabies as it was crystal clear as if coming from a speaker.

How did this product make your life easier?

This monitor has so many features that everyone should find one of them useful! You are able to turn on the night light, lullabies and light show from the parent unit or the baby unit. There is a good selection of lullabies, classical music or white noises to choose from and the sound quality is top notch. You can put a timer on the music, light show and night light which is also really useful. There is also a temperature gauge and light too!

Would you choose this product to win?

It is such a clever piece of kit, it does everything you could possibly want it to and you can tailor it to how you want with timers and alerts. It's the easiest thing in the world to use, I think even my Mum could work it out! The touch screen parent unit has to be the best thing as we are all now accustomed to touch screen gadgets which is why I think it makes this so easy to use.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only 2 little things that I find that could slightly be improved or which niggle me a little bit are the kick stand which I feel is a little flimsy and also quite hard to pull out and I always feel as if it is going to snap. The other thing is that ther is a slight delay when pressing the screen on button which bugs me slightly but I'm being very picky now!

We have been contemplating getting a video monitor for a while now so if we hear our son we can assess remotely if your baby has woken up or just stirred. We found the video resolution great, the sound is good and I love that you can remotely move the camera to see the whole room. The lullaby function is useful, there's a great selection and though my son is a little old for that now, I look forward to using it on my newborn.

How did this product make your life easier?

It is so easy to set this up. There is no need for the instruction booklet which is handy. It is also really easy to navigate the different functions and I love that you can do everything remotely. This means you don't have to go into the room which for us was a huge reason for having a monitor in the first place. Pretty much everything is customisable.

Would you choose this product to win?

There are so many extras with this monitor, it ticks so many boxes. I love that you can pan and tilt the camera remotely without making a sound. It is so easy to use, set-up and adjust that we didn't really need the instruction booklet. The screen is a good size you screen so you can see what your baby is doing. There is such a wide selection of sounds you can play which you can fade off over a few seconds rather than ending abruptly like some which I like.

What changes would you make to this product?

Main disappointment is you have to either have the monitor sound on which is just an annoying hum or you have it on mute and use the cry alert feature to alert you when he makes a noise over a certain volume. You can't control the sensitivity. So when he cried just once an alarm went off so we were woken even though he settled again straight away. We have ended up just using it as a video rather then sound monitor. Still love it though.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This is a fantastic product with a huge array of features which are all executed to a very high standard. BT seem to be cornering the market with baby monitors recently and appear to be the go to brand that you can trust in childcare.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The product gives me the reassurance that my baby will let me know if they need to be tended to and also that the unit won't fail.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

If you could download additional music and sounds for baby to listen to that would be a great additional feature.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

If you wish for a baby monitor which will last and be fit for purpose from baby to older child this is the one.  It's a small and compact unit but its packed full of treats, from a good quality light show with good quality picture right through to alerting when the next bottle is due.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

The touch screen is easy to use and response times are pretty spot on leaving me as a mum of twins more reassured.  Despite the hige amount of functions and perks it provides There is nothing difficult about setting this up or working out.. It's quick and easy. It's great that ou can if you wish to purchase additional units that these can be linked together.. I suppose the down side to this is the price.  This is a monitor that has been well thought through and certainly delivers that at ease.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

The leads could be longer as I don't wish to attach anything to the wall or be right beside baby's cot as when they get bigger they can pull/reach out..  I would like the light show to have more motion and also the camera to rotate side to side as well as the up down it already does.  Connection did fluctuate at times for short periods which could be to do with my wifi or the unit I'm not sure.  Other than that this is a great product, but a little pricy.  But it it lasts from baby to toddler, I think money well spent..

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

This product is pretty amazing. It provides a huge amount of features which are easy to use. It's so easy to use and connected no problem unlike some otherbaby monitors.  The design is nice although a bit on the bulky side.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

It's got so much in this it really does meet everything you can think of, which in a sense is very reassuring.  The picture quality is good and the sound is good also.  There is a wide amount of music options complete with a timer - how cool and clever is that!

Tested by mum Samantha Smyth for the M&B Awards 2016:

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?

I would recommend this as it is so easy to set up and use.  The design is great.  I love the way it can move around without the noise that some other cameras make.  The night light is a nice warm tone and I love the lightshow, its amazing and so clear.  It moves around peacefully and not overly annimated which I find good and when you need your baby to rest you wouldn't want them to be over stimulated.  there is a good range of music, lullabies, classical - however some of these can sound a bit like a CD.  I love that everything has been looked at on this product - like the repeat and alert system.  This is a well thought out product.

How does this product make your life easier as a mum?

It provides me with reassurance as a mum that I do not have to be with my baby constantly looking over them.  I know that the reaction/response time is so minimal that if she needed me I will be there.  Whilst the camera is a little on the bulky side it does the job and I am super impressed that it even alerts me if the room is too warm or cold.

If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?

I wouldn't change anything although the monitor is a little pricey - but your paying for the extras which are amazing.  If this lasts a good few years then I think it is worth every penny as I am hoping it will benefit me in the toddler years also.

Rebecca said: ‘I like the ease of the touch screen. It also features light shows and lullabies, which are lovely.

‘The quality is great. In particular, the video and audio are crystal clear. A tiny quibble is that the parent unit isn’t as compact as some others.’
