At a glance:

The Boba X Buckle Carrier is adjustable and perfect for being mobile with your baby or toddler. It has safe positioning and comes in a variety of colours and designs. Whether you're doing jobs around the house or needing to pop out to the shops, this carrier will have you and your little one covered.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Ellen: The Boba X Buckle Carrier is so quick and easy to use, especially when you're out and about and in a rush! Walking the dog and nipping to the shop is easy when you don't have to faff around with the pram or complicated carriers with lots of straps and wrapping to contend with! The carrier adapts and alters so that you can use it from little baby up to toddler. You know, when they refuse to even consider taking the pushchair, let alone get in it when they inevitably get tired legs!!

Sarah: I would recommend this product particularly for the newborn phase as baby feels very secure and comfortable. Unlike the soft slings (which can be a bit of a faff to put on) this has the feel of this for baby but the easiness of putting on quickly with just a few clips. It has some great designs/ colours and patterns available.

Ruth: I would have no hesitation in recommending this to a fellow mum. It is a really lovely and comfortable baby sling which will grow with my little one until he is a toddler thanks to the really clever feature of being able to add the toddler extensions. It was a bit tricky to use at first and I did need to seek advice from a sling veteran but once I had worked out which straps needed to be tightened, we were off and it was really easy to use. My son was really comfortable in it and he seemed safe and secure. His hips were in a good position and he was able to fall asleep – a bonus! I found the straps under my arms a bit tight but not unbearably so. We hung it on a hook to store it as I don’t think it could be folded down in any way. It can be washed which is ideal for dealing with sick ups etc.

How did this product make your life easier?

Stephanie: This product makes my life easier as a mum as it’s lightweight and really easy to use. It is much better than the material slings that are really difficult to put on whilst you are trying to hold your baby in place at the same time. It also frees up your hands so you are able to do lots of other things whilst keeping your child close to you and safe.

Samantha: I could sing the praises of this product all day! It’s easy to use - just one point to secure the carrier to your body and one point to secure baby in the carrier. I can do this easily one-handed. It distributes the baby’s weight very well so my 10kg+ baby feels weightless for ages. I can carry - and have carried - my baby in this for hours with no issues. It also has cool features like a cross-back option, the cover for the baby’s head (very useful when your baby has fallen asleep or in a windy environment), the function to help you carry any bags you have, and the neat, discrete pocket.

Angela: This carrier folds nicely and is easy to use. It can be washed and the instructions regarding how to change the straps are easy to follow. It is such a help to be able to carry a little one and the fact here are toddler adapters so you can still carry the child once they are a toddler further improves this carrier.

Would you choose this product to win?

Jane: I would 100% chose this product above others on the market. It is made from what feels like great quality materials, it has lots of stylish designs to pick from and is super comfy for both the parent and the child. The best selling point is that it is adjustable and can be used for a newborn right the way through to being a toddler. This is perfect as a mum, as I don't want the hassle to have to go out and buy something new as my little one grows.

Katherine: Unfortunately for me, no. I could see it working with a smaller baby that is easy to support one-handed and can't fight you like a wild animal when they don't want to go in. But having to hold a heavy baby against your chest whilst desperately trying to adjust shoulder straps and pray they don't fall made it a no for me. I wanted to love this product it was so carefully designed like they really cared about the audience they were selling it to, but safety is my priority and I was a shakey sweaty mess after trying to get my baby into the carrier. It needs to have a way to secure them before you start fiddling with adjustments.

Ruth: I think this carrier should win – it is a product designed with both Mum and baby in mind. It is so soft and snuggly, my son wanted to snuggle down into it and I was reassured that whilst he did so he was being held securely and safely. It was similar to his old wrap which he was very content in. This product is easy to use on your own – which I have been for large parts of the day on maternity leave. The buckles can be clicked on and off with one hand whilst the other supports the baby and it is easy to get baby in and out of.

What changes would you make to this product?

Kirsty: I found that the shoulder straps were bulky and caught on my neck and ears! But some of that may be I am not particularly tall and also used them in a crossed back style. My husband didn’t find this as much as an issue. Also when using it as a bad carry it wasn’t so much of an issue. I also found the material stiffer initially than another brand I’ve tried.

Angela: The colour we received was apricot which is not a colour we would have chosen but there are many others on the market. My husband is very tall at 6 foot 5 and found that the back strap therefore sat in a slightly awkward position on him, which we did struggle to change. I am 5 foot 4 and found it was easy to adapt for my size.

Jane: I would not change anything about the product itself, it really has been fantastic and for us as a family a real life changer. The only thing I would recommend would be slightly better and clearer instructions. Personally I didn’t feel they were as good as they could be. I did work out how to use it and managed to do it all fine but it took me a while to understand.
