Silicone Teething Necklace

The Bo & Bel teething necklace is made from chunky silicone beads in lovely bright colours, meaning mums can look stylish while still allowing teething babies to gnaw on their jewellery safely.

Tested by Katie Linstead 28, mum to Heidi, 15 months. She says:

I’ve never found a teething necklace in a style I like - until now! My ideal teething necklace is lightweight and brightly coloured, easy to take on and off, and not too expensive.

This necklace came beautifully wrapped and I’d definitely buy one as a gift.

It’s not at all what I was expecting teething jewellery to look like but I love the way it looks - a really modern design in my favourite colours. I got lots of compliments while I was wearing this one.

We were also sent a co-ordinating bracelet and both this and the Lara and Ollie bracelet made me feel like I’d made a bit more of an effort style-wise - even if ithey were covered in oatcakes and toddler drool!

Tested by Ciara O’Doherty, 36, mum to Caidan, four months. She says:

My son has been teething since he was two months old which is too young for most over-the-counter teething remedies, and he’s not yet able to hold teething objects in his mouth by himself so a necklace seems ideal.

This was nicely packaged with a personal note so it would make a lovely gift. Bo & Bel also followed up with a text which I thought was great customer service.

The bracelet is something I would wear again and my son really liked it. He wasn’t keen on the beads on the necklace though - probably because he finds the hexagonal shape difficult to handle. I’d buy the bracelet, possibly even in several colours.

Tested by Linsey Robertson, 33, mum to daughter Eilidh, seven months. She says:

Despite having no teeth at seven months, Eilidh loves to gnaw on anything and everything! I haven't worn jewellery much since she was born so I am looking forward to having some baby-friendly pieces to wear. I’d love a stylish necklace that’s also good value.

Nicely packaged, and this necklace was my favourite design out of all the products I tried. I got several compliments when I wore it and another mum asked where she could buy one.

The beads are different shapes and sizes which looks nice, and also gives Eilidh a variety of things to chew on and play with.

The cord has a nice sheen to it and the overall quality of the necklace is great - it could easily pass as non-teething jewellery. I would wear this one again and I’d definitely recommend it to friends.

The only downside is that it’s quite short, which means my neck sometimes gets yanked when baby tugs at the necklace.
