How did the Fisher-Price Bounce and Spin Puppy make your life easier?
Abigail: My daughter really enjoyed playing on the bounce and spin puppy, giving me time to get jobs done! It entertained her for a good stretch of time, whether she was bouncing, spinning or pressing the buttons on top. She could safely get on and off by herself, meaning she needs minimal supervision whilst playing.
Amy: I think this toy is beneficial as I like how my son can easily get on and off it himself and it feels quite robust. Because it is a toy which allows the development of motor skills but also suitable for indoors it is perfect to keep him occupied when I need to do other things. I have this in my kitchen and then I am able to prepare meals whilst he plays with it.
Hatty: This product makes my life easier as a mum because it provides some entertainment for my toddler who enjoys bouncing on it for probably 5-10minutes at a time but regularly returns for more. It certainly makes her happy, smile and laugh. It also provides adults with a lot of entertainment to watch your children having so much fun, safely jumping up and down. It is very easy to assemble. The product is sturdy and safe and very unlikely to be pushed over in view of its wide base. Even though the base appears wide the whole product is small enough that it does not take up too much space in the living room. It is easily wipeable in the event of spills/dirt.
Would you recommend the Fisher-Price Bounce and Spin Puppy to other mums?
Payal: This product is well made and was easy to put together from the box. It arrived well packaged. The character of the dog is nice and my son seems to like it. It’s a good height and my son can get on and off independently. The music is a nice volume and has two options for volume.
Hatty: I would definitely recommend this product to fellow mums. My toddler absolutely loves bouncing on this little dog. The product is extremely easy to assemble and took less than the 30minutes predicted on the instructions. My toddler couldn’t wait to jump on and had such fun repeatedly bouncing up and down and pushing all the buttons and spinning rattle that lights up on top. My daughter is not at a stage where she is counting yet however I can see how enjoying bouncing on this toy would help encourage her to recognise the sounds and order of numbers & letters. The product appears sturdy and safe and toddler (20month) can easily get on and off without help.
Solitaire: Everything about this toy is easy! From the initial setup (instructions said 30 mins, took about 20 and that was with an excited toddler trying to help!) to the user play. Although a bit bulky to store (it's no bigger than it needs to be though) I can't say enough good things about it It's very easy to clean, with a wet cloth/wipes, there are no hidden nooks and crannies to worry about. The puppy is also extremely user-friendly, my daughter is 18 months old and has no problem getting on and off, bouncing up and down and switching the different buttons on/off.
Would you choose the Fisher-Price Bounce and Spin Puppy to win?
Abigail: I haven’t see another toy similar to this on the market. It’s best feature is how interactive it is; it allows children to sit, bounce and spin independently. It also has buttons to press on the top and sings many different songs. It also has an educational aspect and encourages counting and recalling the alphabet. It is sturdy and doesn’t feel like it will tip.
Amy: Although it is very practical it takes up a large amount of room and doesn’t look very stylish. I also think it will have quite a short lifespan for my son so I wouldn’t choose this toy over other toys for this age range. However if the toys in this design I would be happy to recommend this over the other models.
What changes would you make to the Fisher-Price Bounce and Spin Puppy?
Abigail: Although we loved the product and my daughter would play independently on it for long stretches of time, I feel the product is quite expensive. Although the quality is reflected in the price, for a sit on toy it is fairly costly. Having said that, it does considerably more than normal sit on toys currently available on the market.
Sarah-Jane: I would have liked to have had batteries included, I find it a bit annoying when a new toy is purchased and batteries are required but not included.
Hatty: If I could change one thing about this product it would be the price. I think £69.99 is very expensive for a bouncing toy. I acknowledge that the toy is excellent and extremely fun for children however for the amount of time that these toys are realistically used for I think that it is overpriced. I think if the price were to be dropped by £20, the price-point would be more reasonable, appropriate and accessible.
