This square table sandpit is strong and durable, and is supplied with a watertight liner and a weatherproof protective cover.
It’s especially suited to children who prefer to stand while they play and aren’t so keen on sitting in a sandpit. It’s suitable for use from 18 months old and can be used for sand or water play.
Tested by Leanne, 32, mum to Darcie, 18 months, and Harrison, five. She says:
This looks great, but we were a little disappointed by its size. It’s small so not great value for money.
And if left outside, little holes in the cover mean rainwater drips through. Sand spilled easily between the table and plastic sheeting too.
It’s the perfect height for Darcie and was fairly quick to assemble – it took around 40 minutes with the help of an electric screwdriver.
Tested by Sarah, 33, mum to Emma, two, and Daniel, three, and expecting her third baby. She says:
This one’s sturdy, hard-wearing and I love the design. It’s a good height for my two- and three-year-old, although they generally preferred playing in the larger sandpits.
I like the multipurpose use, though – it’s great that it can be used as a water or messy play table. The cover fits well, although some rainwater did manage to seep through to the table below.
Tested by Jayne, 37, mum to Lily, two, Oliver, nine, and Charlotte, 10. She says:
Simple and very sturdy, and it looks great on our decking. The wood is treated, so it can remain outdoors, but it’s also light and easy to move, and comes with a protective waterproof cover which stays put.
The liner is tightly secured allowing for no spillages – which is what I’d expect, given the price.
Lily didn’t want to stop playing with this and happily kept herself occupied.
