The SmarTrike Dream is strong and sturdy. It can be used from the age of 10 months up until 4 years, adapting to the age range with four different modes of play/transport. It’s difficult to build (the instructions could be more detailed) but that does not detract from the trike’s immense fun.

It steers easily and manoeuvres well. The product includes back support, a safety bar, foldable pedals and padded seat covers. The attached toy phone is a great extra, as is the basket, but the phone does have a tendency to fall off.

The wheels are easily scuffed – it’s unlikely that they will last four years – and the sunshade is not very...shady. It could also do with a rain cover but overall, it’s a fabulous product; great value for money and a good alternative to a buggy.
