At a glance:

Brush-Baby's First FlossBrush is the ideal toothbrush to get your little one started before they move onto a kids electric toothbrush. It's a fun design while being short and easy for them to hold onto. Parents can feel assured as the First FlossBrush has soft 'deep clean' bristles so they won't be too hard on their teeth.

How did this product make your life easier?

Jasmine: My daughter is 22 months old and can be a struggle to get her to brush her teeth. This toothbrush worked really well and she really enjoyed holding it and trying to brush her own teeth. It doesn’t take as long now to brush her teeth morning and night. She won’t let me hold the toothbrush at all because she likes it so much!

Eadaoin: The redesigned shape means I don’t worry so much about her pushing the toothbrush too far into her mouth. As the shape isn't symmetrical I can quickly see how the brush is rotated in her mouth without getting too close. Also, there is an indicator on the bristles to show how much toothpaste to apply. This is a clever little feature and helps avoids confusion in the bathroom!

Samantha: This product makes my life easier as my son absolutely loves using this brush. He finds it easy to hold and the length is much better suited for a toddler. I find other brushes fiddly to hold and my son struggled to brush correctly. I've found this brush much better suited for us both. I found he is now happier to have his teeth brushed, which in turn makes my life easier.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Ellen: I think this product is a good brush to get started with. It’s designed well for little hands and is short so it’s easy for coordinating hand to mouth action. The bristles are different sizes too even if the baby is just chewing on the brush, it will be working it’s magic! It’s a really good price as well.

Samantha: I would definitely recommend this brush to other mums. It's cute and attractive for little ones to be interested in. The head is soft and small enough to get to the new teeth. The great feature is the longer bristles that act as a flosser, it's nice to know that even with such small teeth the hard to reach places are clean. My son loves the cute rabbit design and is always happy to have his teeth cleaned now.

Libby: Compared to similar products on the market, this toothbrush not only has the 'deep clean bristles' to give a deeper clean but also an easy to grip handle for little hands to be involved and help brush. I love the toothpaste indicator as I have found the guides for the amount of toothpaste required difficult to follow in the past.

Would you choose this product to win?

Sarah: I think this product should win this category as it seems to have mums and babies in mind at the heart of the product both in terms of its design and product literature. I feel although different from other toothbrushes, it works well in terms of ease of use and I feel confident that my daughter's teeth are going to be cleaned well with this.

Katharine: The unique selling point of the First FlossBrush is its flossing action. I have to say however I am not convinced that the thin floss bristles would be able to reach into tighter gaps between the teeth. To buy this regularly I would want more evidence of the brushes' effectiveness compared to cheaper models on the market.

Eadaoin: I would definitely choose this product to win. The quality is evident and it is such great value for a toothbrush with such extra features. From the marketing material, I think it might only be available in certain shops. I wouldn’t make a special trip to purchase this but I would definitely pick it from the shelves over others.

What changes would you make to this product?

Jasmine: I don’t think I need to change anything about this product. The colours and designs are very good and are catching to her eye making her more likely to want to use this toothbrush over her over one she was using before. It’s great value for money too, I have bought two now as one for her and one for me as she won’t let me have it back to brush her teeth so that’s proof enough for me.

Ellen: I wouldn’t change anything. I think the product does exactly what it sets out to do. It’s in a nice bright colour so it’s attractive to little ones, it’s a brilliant design that is for purpose and I really like the different length bristles that have a flossing as well as a brushing action. Great product.

Samantha: I think if I was to change anything, it would be nice to have a variety of different characters. It's nice the brush comes in different colours but I would suspect my son would like a different character for each colour, themed or special editions. Other than that I would not change anything as I find it's perfect for what I need for my son.
