Suitable from birth until around 13kg, this is available in a range of colours. You can install it with a three-point seat belt, with a belted base and a support leg, or with an ISOFIX base and support leg. It attaches to selected pushchair frames.

The sunshade feels flimsy and doesn’t work in harmony with the handle – lots of yanking required! The Britax Baby-Safe Plus SHR II is a basic car seat that is easy to install with or without an ISOFIX base. The seat is cosy, with simple seat belt attachments and is compatible with Britax buggies.
The 5-point-harness is very safe and the fabric straps are a nice feature, as is the sun shade and extra side support clips for use in the car. The recline is good and baby sits at a comfortable, natural angle in the seat. The ‘easy release’ button on the handle is super convenient but superfluous to parents who prefer 'less fuss'. The seat is also quite heavy, even without baby in it.
It's not as big as some other car seats and seems quite narrow, which is good for saving space in small cars but ultimately affects the longevity of the product as well as its monetary value.
Overall, it's a solid seat that is both safe and practical – also fairly priced!

The Britax Baby-Safe SHR II can lie virtually flat and offers all round practicality, comfort and safety. It fits on a range of pushchairs to form a travel system, but does feel quite bulky.
Britax Baby-Safe Plus SHR II baby car seat is safe, spacious and easy to fit. Made from good quality materials and fabric, the seat is robust, with a 5-point safety harness and installation by: 3-point seat belt, Baby Safe Belted Base or Baby Safe Isofix Base.
It has an adjustable headrest with extra padding around the baby’s head as well as extra side impact protection. The seat also has a recline feature, an adjustable carry handle and a ‘sun hood.’ It is, however, on the heavy side, making it difficult to move in and out of the car on a regular basis. On the plus, it is very reasonably priced – excellent value for money!
This seat is an excellent all-rounder – it’s comfortable, feels safe and has some practical features that add to its ease of use and it can recline virtually flat, too. It has a five-point safety harness, chest pads for your child’s added comfort and you can remove the covers for washing.
Plus, it fits on Britax , Bugaboo, BabyStyle Oyster and Silver Cross Surf pushchairs and has a handy single hand release (SHR) button so you can easily remove the carseat from the chassis in one movement.
We like the flexibility of being able to choose a non-ISOFIX or ISOFIX base, and it’s easy to install too. The Baby Safe is hard to carry however, and difficult to get into the car due to its bulk, but the one touch handle makes it easier to maneuver. The built in rain cover is quick and simple to use and the seat is comfortable with deeply padded side wings for greater impact protection.
