Testing the Maxi-Cosi Mica 360 Pro

Installation

Installing the Mica 360 Pro is a breeze, thanks to its intuitive design and user-friendly features. The base is built-in to the car seat and the ISOFIX system ensures a secure and straightforward installation process and the the safety indicatiors that turn green when everything is placed correctly gives you peace of mind that your child is safely strapped in and won't be going anywhere (however much they might try...). Additionally, the integrated support leg provides added stability and reassurance.

Using the Mica 360 Pro with baby

Everyone knows that getting your bay actually into a car seat can be a mission in itself but the Mica 360 Pro strives to make this as easy as possible with a 360-degree rotating seat to enables effortless transitions between rearward and forward-facing positions as well as turning them towards you.

But the Mica 360 Pro goes one step further with its built-in SlideTech® which allows your to easily slide your car seat out of the car by rotating the car 90 degrees (facing baby towards you) and pull the car seat towards you. Being able to avoid bending into the car to get your little one out is a real game changer. It may sound such a small thing but trust me, you notice the difference. Goodbye strained backs and bumped heads!

You've also got the 5-point safety harness with Easy-in feature so that when you unbuckle, the shoulder pads spring upwards and stay there, meaning there's more room for strapping in your tot.

Comfy riding

Naturally, you want to ensure your smallest passenger is comfortable and while it's not always the easiest thing to establish if this is the case with an infant, you can feel reassured with the Mica 360 Pro that everything is in place to keep them happy. This includes plush padding, 5 recline options and an adjustable headrest to ensure a snug and comfortable fit, whatever baby's age. The ClimaFlow panels and mesh fabrics help regulate temperature, keeping your little one cool and comfortable during long drives.

And if you've got a newborn, you can make use of the newborn inlay so there's no need to buy a seperate infant carrier. That said, I can appreciate some parents may like the option of being able to quickly lift an infant carrier out of the car and attach it to a travel system or take it into the house, especially if baby is sleeping. If that's you, it's worth checking out the Maxi-Cosi 360 Pro Family.

Final verdict

As a first-time parent, I felt quite nervous about choosing a car seat for my son. Thankfully, I'm in great hands with Maxi-Cosi and the Mica 360 Pro has really impressed me. It has such an impressive range of features and they've truly thought of everything and ticked so many boxes from safety to comfort. A 360 car seat was always going to be a must for our family personally but the addition of the SlideTech® really goes above and beyond in trying to make parents' lives easier and this is something I really value from a parenting brand.
