The Maxi Cosi 2way Duo Pack is well made and easy to operate. The product is simple to install (although it fits some cars better than others) thanks, in large part, to light and sound indicators that tell users whether the seat has been correctly fitted or not.

The ISOFIX mechanism means that no seatbelt is required. The seat can also be used in a forward or (extended) rear facing position. It’s sturdy and feels really safe, and is nicely padded for ultimate comfort. The seat manoeuvres into varying degrees of recline and has an adjustable headrest.

>> WHAT IS AN ISOFIX CAR SEAT?

The specified age range for the seat is 0-4 years but 3-3.5 is a more realistic probability. It should also be noted that the base takes up a lot of room in the back of a car.

It's great to have an all-in-one car seat option but the price is inhibiting, albeit worth it!

2015 – Shortlisted for 'Car Seat Group 1' Award!

The Maxi-Cosi 2way complies with the new i-Size regulation. It installs in the car easily, with the 2way Fix Base to form the 2way Duo Pack. It provides rear-facing travel until your child reaches 105cm (approximately four years old) but can be used forward facing. Other features include enhanced side-protection, stay-open harness, adjustable headrest and harness and four-position recline in both directions.

The Maxi-Cosi 2way Duo Pack is sturdy and hard-wearing, giving mums peace of mind while driving that your baby is safe and secure. However, this car seat is quite heavy, with fiddly clips. The dual-facing feature is a bonus, and the design is great.

The cover is removable for cleaning, the head hugger looks comfortable and there are several reclining options. There are clear safety indicators and it can be fitted easily but the expense might put you off this purchase although the quality is there.
