What should I dress my toddler in autumn?

The golden rule to follow when it comes to dressing babies and toddlers in colder weather is to dress yourself and then dress them similarly with an extra layer added before heading outside. For example, if you've got a thick coat on, you might also want to add a blanket and hat and gloves to your baby for extra warmth. For extra cold weather, pram suits for babies are a great idea for keeping them nice and warm in the cold.

As well as warm outerwear when heading outdoors, it's a good idea to dress your little one in layers that they can take off or build up depending on where you're going.

What should baby wear outside in autumn?

Before you head outdoors anywhere with your little one, it's a good idea to check the weather and also be prepared. After all, you can never really predict the weather, so even if it says it's not going to rain, we'd recommend packing a waterproof coat and a wooly hat and gloves just in case during the autumn.

When it comes to footwear, if your tot is walking, opt for a pair of waterproof boots or toddler wellies in case they step in a puddle. It's also a good idea to pack an extra pair of socks just in case too.
