Testing the CuddleCo Clara Cot Bed

Our testers found that the Clara Cot Bed was very easy to assemble with simple yet effective instructions. The fixtures and fittings were all well placed and holes were drilled correctly, which can often be a bone of contention with self-build furniture.

They also really liked how it looked, commenting that it's a lovely modern cot with nice design features.

"It looks really stylish and suits my son's room perfectly. It feels really solid and seems like it would last for many years to come. I also love the full rim around the top as it makes it look sleek and modern rather than your average 'old-school' cot."

They loved that they could change the height of the mattress once baby can sit or stand to keep them safe. "My child is now standing and having the lowest position means they can stand safely without trying to climb over the sides. Safety is a big concern of mine and had no concerns with this product whatsoever, I found it to be very sturdy and well built," said one mum.

"I adore this product, everything from assembly to use has been a dream, The white and ash finish is so chic and would fit in pretty much any colour scheme nursery or bedroom. It looks grown up and sophisticated which I adore. The lines are so clean and it feels substantial. You can tell its quality and I have had many compliments on it already," raved mum Laura. "I love that it turns into a toddler bed as this makes the price fully justifiable as this is going to last a long time. Every line is cleanly finished and the joints were all very smooth which speaks highly of the manufacturing process and the design work that went into this piece. It looks stylish. The fact that my baby sleeps longer it it is amazing too, he is really happy in it and ultimately that's what matters to me- I love how much he is enjoying it. It also feels safe and substantial which when we were transitioning from the Moses Basket really mattered to me as a first-time mum."

Final thoughts

Our mums had very little they would want to change about the CuddleCo Clara Cot Bed.

"The only thing I would think about changing would be making the decorative curve on the base of the cot bed slightly more shallow so that you can utilise the space underneath the bed" suggested tester Victoria, a comment echoed by other testers. "I do feel that this adds to the design of this particular cot bed but it would maybe exclude some families who would need to be able to utilise the space for storage and therefore creating a drawer that could fit the contours would maybe help with this. However, I feel this is a very minor issue and not something that would be an issue for me and my family. I think this is a wonderful product that I am very proud and happy to use. I commend the design and engineering team on this one and for the instructional manual. This cot rightly deserves high praise."

The CuddleCo Clara Cot Bed is overall a product all of our mums are pleased to now have in their children's bedrooms.

"Our son has had many good nights' sleep in the cot so far and I'm really looking forward to him continuing in the same cot/cot bed going forward," said mum Vicky.
