Since its launch in 1971 by the late Roger Hargreaves, the Mr Men and Little Miss books have been a firm favourite in many family households and now two new characters have joined the iconic collection.

Mr. Calm and Little Miss Brave were two out of the five new characters that the public could vote for to join the beloved children’s brand to celebrate its 50th anniversary, alongside Mr. Brilliant, Little Miss Energy, and Little Miss Kind.

There were over 70,000 votes, but after a difficult year Mr. Calm and Little Miss Brave’s traits clearly resonated with the public the most as they were crowned the two new characters to join the Mr. Men Little Miss family.

Like all the characters in the books, Mr. Calm and Little Miss Brave will explore the traits of calmness and bravery, two very important, and relevant personalities in the current climate.

Little Miss Brave is someone who stands up for what she believes in and inspires others to be the best they can be, while Mr. Calm has a peaceful outlook on life and appreciates the simple pleasures.
