Testing the Bebello Washer

As a first-time parent, I felt really overwhelmed with what to choose for sterilising bottles, as there are so many different versions and sizes, and we really didn't know what size we needed.

What I did really like with the Bebello Washer was that it came with an A3 information page for the brand. It helped explain who the manufacturer was, their vision for the brand, and why they started the business. I loved getting to know the brand and I also really love that they also recycle the product once you have finished with it, which I thought was a really innovative way to stop their products going to landfill.

This brand is a step ahead of the baby market in terms of their economic impact.

Build

This was really simple to put together. You only had to connect the pipe in and plug it into the power socket and you’re ready to go! There's no having to connect it to any water source, which is a huge bonus.

The Bebello is quite bulky to be on the side, so if you've not got much counter space, it can be a bit of an inconvenience, but its sleek design stops it from being a complete eyesore in your kitchen, which we noticed can be the case with a lot of sterilisers. However, while it is bulky, it has more than enough space for sterilising everything we needed in one go, so it saves you having to do multiple cycles.

Usability

The Bebello has touch buttons in the centre of the machine, making it super simple to navigate. Each button clearly states its function underneath as well, so you know exactly what you need to press without having to become an expert on the machine! A light also appears once you have selected that function too.

I liked that you are able to select multiple functions at once, such as wash, sterilise, and dry on one cycle, or you can just do one if needed. Once I’ve selected all relevant functions and selected go, a timer also appears to let you know how long the cycle will be. This feature is really handy as you know how long your cycle is going to take and you don't have to keep running to check if it's finished yet. As new parents, it's easy to forget sometimes whether you've washed the bottles or turned the steriliser on yet, so the fact this does everything for you and you know exactly where the machine is at in its cycle is extremely helpful!

Performance

The performance is great. The cycles are short for what they do, and I also found that the device is really quiet, which is also a bonus. The fact it can do absolutely everything for me takes away so much pressure from having to wash bottles and dummies, then sterilise them and then wait for them to dry.

I've found as well that the bottles and dummies always come out clean and streak-free. One of my favourite features of this product is that you only need one or two pumps of the detergent directly into the top of the machine, and you’re off! No messing about with fidgety tabs or caps; you just pump and go.

Final verdict

I honestly can't believe how game-changing this steriliser is. As a first-time parent who's bottle feeding I was feeling overwhelmed with having enough time to do washing and sterilising when my partner went back to work, but this Bebello Washer really makes life so much easier.

While it is one of the more expensive washers on the market, I wouldn't mind paying for the convenience and the time it saves! The fact that we will be using it for a year as well and potentially in the future will be really helpful.
