2015 – Shortlisted for 'Best Safety Product' Award!

The Philips Avent 3-in-1 Electric Steam Steriliser is easy to use, and makes sterilising much quicker and easier. Multiple products can be sterilised at one time and can be used for up to 24 hours, which is useful for keeping routine. It doesn’t take up too much space in the kitchen and can even be used to sterilise dummies and teething toys.

The daily refill process – unplugging the steriliser, tipping the water out and refilling it – can be a bit of a faff. The product is also expensive when considering the extra features on many other competing sterilisers (that this steriliser does not have) but it is still functional and practical, and mostly convenient.

2014  – 'Poduct for Bottle Feeding' Award!

The Philips Avent 3-in-1 Electric Steam Steriliser is easy to set up and has a small footprint so is practical for small kitchens. It sterilises in 6 minutes and the product can be adjusted according the size of your load, whether it's a few small items (like soothers) or an army of bottles.

A lot of steam escapes after the sterilisation cycle (even a long while after the process), so take care when removing the lid.  And something that would be useful is a power lead that unplugs from the base unit so that water can be emptied without taking the plug as well.

It might be easy to assume that the steriliser only takes Avent bottles but this is not the case – the product works with all bottle types, which is perhaps why it is more expensive than other similar models on the market. It is convenient and efficient, and its versatility makes it a useful product that is well worth the cost.
