Aldi Mamia Mamia Junior's Mini Rice Cakes at a glance

These organic mini rice cakes are perfect for those with little hands and make a great on-the-go snack for filling up rumbling tums.

We spoke to these real parent testers to get their review...

How did this product make your life easier?

Elizabeth: It makes my life easier by having an easy, tasty snack to offer my toddler whilst out and about. They are the perfect size for my toddler to hold and you get 8 servings per pack so they are great value. They are made with no added salt or sugar, which is great, and organic rice too. The bag is also very pretty and so a good distraction tool for my toddler to look at!

Lucy: The mamia junior rice cakes come in a large bag which makes life easier as you can take out one bag of rice cakes that will last all day for a number of children. They are full of flavour and were enjoyed by both my 9 month old and 3 year old and even myself and my husband. They were crunchy and not too soft.

Bethan: It makes my life so much easier. It's great to have as an on-the-go snack in the pushchair when out and about. It's also handy to have in the house if baby starts crying whilst I'm trying to make dinner. They're light and easy to carry around in a bag and don't get crushed easily. Definitely going to keep a bag or two in the car for days out!

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Stacey: I would recommend the raspberry/blueberry Aldi mini rice cakes to a friend or a fellow mum as they seem to keep hunger at bay for both my 9 month old and my 2 year old while not costing a fortune, as some baby food products do. It's a lot less upsetting when half of it ends on the floor if you have only paid 49p!!

Bethan: I'd recommend this product to fellow mums because it's such a good price! At 49p a pack you can't go wrong. The pack is quite big and there's a lot of rice cakes in it. I'd also recommend it as my daughter really enjoyed these rice cakes and kept wanting more! They're great for having out and about!

Charlotte: Yes I think rice cakes are a great snack to have for little ones, this is also great value for money so useful to keep a packet in the cupboard for snacks. I only had one day to review and test them so my little one managed to try a couple, but she enjoyed the ones she did try.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Bethan: If I was close to an Aldi I would definitely get these products above others. They are a lot cheaper than other similar products and I think you get more in the pack too. I love the fact you get more rice cakes for basically half the price! It's a bargain I wouldn't be able to turn down. My daughter also seems to like these ones the most.

Charlotte: I wouldn't necessarily pick these over the other products on the market, I would happily have a range of different rice cakes but the price tag is fantastic for what you get so it's definitely appealing and the flavour combination is great. Makes a difference to the ones I normally come across in the supermarkets.Claire: I would choose this product above others because I like them, the baby likes them and the toddler likes them. This means less shopping for multiple alternative products and a happy household. There's no point in buying something that we think is healthy if the children aren't going to eat but with these I can be confident that they will be fed and happy.

What changes would you make to this product?

Elizabeth: If I had to change one thing about the product it would be for the bag to be resealable! It holds 8 portions so you have to use a peg or tape to keep them fresh, unless you transfer them out of the bag. If it had a resealable tab it would be perfect as they would stay fresher for longer. Apart from that I wouldn't recommend changing anything.

Lucy: The main thing I would change would be to give a sealable tab as the bag is larger than a small bag so wouldn’t be eaten in one sitting, therefore they could easily go soft if left open for too long.

Bethan: I wouldn't really change anything about it. The design of the pack and size are great! The price is also fantastic. If anything a little more flavour could be added to the rice cakes. When I tasted one I felt the flavour was only really on the surface of the rice cake and the middle didn't really have any taste. But I do think they're great!
