If you’re someone who has been dreaming of a cosy nursing chair, perhaps since before you even knew you were pregnant (like me), then do I have some good news for you. Before I even got pregnant, I had a dream of a very particular type of chair. The dream was: A big arm chair, arms that match the rest of the chair, cosy and most of all – a rocking chair.

Testing the CuddleCo Etta Rocker

The CuddleCo Etta Boucle Nursing Chair seemed to tick off every single box for me, so when it arrived I was so eager to get it set up and in my nursery. Luckily for me, the set up of this was so simple, even just screwing the feet in was such a basic job and within five minutes I was settling in my new cosy chair!

There’s a subtle rock to the chair which is perfect. I couldn’t ask for more in terms of how much movement I can get out of this. While there isn’t a footstool to assist in the reclining, I don’t think it’s necessary because the chair by itself does such a good job. Is it big? Sure, but for me it’s the perfect size and fits directly under my window which is fantastic.

I had toyed with getting a boucle rocking chair with wooden arms, but when I came across the CuddleCo chair with the round edges, it was an instant winner for me. Not only do I feel like I could comfortably sit there and feed my baby, but also there isn’t any concerns of head bumps for my little one when they start moving, which is great!

The chair isn’t machine washable and the fabric doesn’t come off to do so, but it can be cleaned with a sponge and fabric cleaner, so any stains should be able to be sorted pretty quickly.

It comes in at £500, which may be on the pricier side, but for this kind of chair and throw in that it rocks as well, I don’t think it’s bad at all. Also, this chair isn’t going anywhere from my life anytime soon, so where is the waste?! It’s probably more mid-range on the market for a very similar chair, so if you had the same picture in your mind as I did, then I’d definitely recommend it.

Final verdict

My baby isn’t here yet, but I’ve spent a lot of time cosied up in my chair with my two dogs – yes it’s big enough for my two dogs to join me too! I’ve set mine up in the nursery with a little trolley next to me filled with all my nursing bits (and a space for a cuppa and a bottle of water!) and it’s perfect.
