What they say:

“After 40 years designing seating, Peter Opsvik's Nomi Highchair grows with your child through all stages. From newborn to teenager, the Nomi highchair, with accessories, evolves through three life stages. The Baby brings baby off the floor to a height to join family life. The Mini provides support without restricting movement and is the perfect height for the family table. The Highchair offers seamless adjustment to suit growing children.

“Made of laminated wood and moulded plastic; it's easy to clean - no corners where food can get stuck - and durable with organic forms, ensuring the optimal fit for small bodies.”

This is an an amazing bit of kit. To be able to include baby in family meals is a wonderful idea. Ease of use is amazing. No special tools required to take it to the next stage/development. It doesn't fold, so you would buy knowing the would be a permanent feature of the dining room. That said it is visually appealing and would complement other furniture. To have this and enable it to grow with the child is really clever. It will last as long as the child wants to use it.

How did this product make your life easier?

To have baby safely sat at the dining table, in reach and view is a huge plus. I can enjoy my meal and have baby sat at a safe height also. As the child gets older, the chairs natural progression is such a benifit. I love that they aren't strapped and and have free range of movement and can social also.

Would you choose this product to win?

I love the design. I love the Nomi Highchair and would recommend to everyone. I didn't know this type of item was available and because it goes from birthday to teenage what's not to love about it. It's a statement for your child. Safe and comfort but also cool and hip. It's easily cleaned with no hidden corners or straps that get covered in food and hard to clean. With ease of function your not looking for tools to take it to the next stage. Children grow quickly - as this will.

What changes would you make to this product?

The only thing I maybe would look to change is being able to transport it - it would be good if there were a way to fold it flat to go in your car boot for visiting relatives.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

I would recommend the Nomi Highchair based on the way it looks. It is very stylish, with lovely sweeping clean lines. It would look great in anyone's home. I didn't use it as a bouncy chair/sleeping accesory for a smaller baby, but the cover that was provided for that also looked lovely. Easy to keep clean and wipe down, felt very secure when my little one was sat in it.

Would you choose this product to win?

As well as being aesthetically pleasing it is also space saving and easy to clean. I would prefer some other features, like somewhere to store bibs and wipes, but I know that that would ruin the look of the piece. I would also like it to be a little bit taller as when I was sitting at the table feeding, it felt a little low.

What changes would you make to this product?

I would change the build. For something with such a simple design, it was an absolute nightmare to build! It was simple in terms of steps, but it felt like nothing really fit together without having to bash it a bit! Turning the allen key on the bottom section was almost impossible, then getting the footplate to stay in place was also very tricky.

The Nomi Highchair looks like a piece of modern art. It fits into a room easily and fits under both our dining table and kitchen table. It can be cleaned very easily and is easy to transport when going to grandparents’ due to its slim design. I didn't have the cushion to test but I imagine with that, it would be really comfy as my baby was happy enough without it.

How did this product make your life easier?

The Nomi Highchair made the transition to weaning both easy and enjoyable. My little girl enjoyed sitting in the chair and would happily sit in there the duration of our meal when she had finished. It also made the cleaning up of mealtimes easier a sit was so easy to wipe clean as there tray came away easily.

Would you choose this product to win?

I would choose the Nomi Highchair above all others. It looks like a great chair in our dining room and is also comfortable for the little one, that's a win win in our household. The only thing is it doesn't fold but that's not a problem as it’s so slim.

What changes would you make to this product?

The footrest is difficult to keep in place and kept falling to the bottom of the chair. It would be beneficial to have an easier mechanism to move the footrest and keep it in place, perhaps a clicking in mechanism that isn't currently present. The price is also rather prohibitive and I'm not sure it warrants such a high price.

This product appeals to a style conscious market. Its design perfectly complements a modern home without compromise. It doesn’t look like a cheap highchair that is sold in abundance, and instead oozes sophistication with the Scandinavia look. It is easy to adjust and no tools are required, which is perfect for a modern-day mum.

How did this product make your life easier?

There is a footrest which is not standard on all highchairs. This is adjustable so little one can have comfort when eating with the family. The feeding tray can be removed for convenience to clean and there is no need to fold and hide the chair away somewhere because it can compliment a dining space.

Would you choose this product to win?

This chair should win on both style and practical grounds. The fact that this chair is adjustable to match a growing child makes it a sound purchase. It is robust and baby is secure. The style factor would appeal to people with homes with limited space as it is not a bulky piece and will fit comfortably round a table.

The Nomi Highchair has been fantastic, particularly for my 4-year-old son as it has enabled him to sit at a comfortable height at our dining table. The design allows for many adjustments to seating positions making it adaptable for all ages. The chair also slides right under the table which means it doesn't take up a large amount of space. The seat is easy to clean, without seams or folded fabric to allow crumbs to hide. It looks fantastic and has that 'design' piece feel you don't get from other highchairs. Ever visitor to our house had commented on it!

How did this product make your life easier?

My son is able to get on the chair by himself and has been more independent using the chair. I have found him sitting at the dining table colouring in or with a book, just because he likes sitting in the chair. He feels important with his 'own' chair. It has meant less food on the floor, as he is able to sit right up close to the table. Easy cleaning, due to hard surfaces. Wheeled base at front made it easy to manoeuvre. Wide four leg base makes chair very stable. I'd like another one to stop my two boys fighting over it!

What changes would you make to this product?

A more solid footrest possibly in wood offering the same shape and manoeuvrability as the plastic one.
