Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection and comfort. That's why their nappies now have the magical absorbing tubes to ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy with these high-quality but low-price nappies from Lidl. They are dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means fewer materials, less packaging and less energy, helping to minimise the companies carbon footprint.

Would you recommend this to other mums?

Louise: I would recommend this nappy to friends and have done already. I don't feel it receives the publicity it should. The nappies are very compact to carry. They did not come apart before being used so, therefore, remained fairly hygienic. In terms of ease of use, the tabs worked well and remained in place which is always helpful with a wriggling baby. The design is colourful which was appealing as some can be a bit boring. My son loved choosing the nappies for his sister as a result.

Claire: I would definitely recommend this product to a friend or fellow mum as I have nothing to fault. The nappies are competitively priced and they come in handy packs with handles, which makes life a lot easier when purchasing them. They have very cute designs on them with little animals. The design made it clear which was the front or the back. It’s a subtle little design feature that ensures you’re putting it on correctly. The nappies were easy to put on and were very absorbent. We didn’t have any leakages.

Aimee: The nappy is cost-effective, really well designed and produced. The fabric is a soft texture compared to other brands, which feels great against your child’s sensitive skin. The velcro fasteners are much easier to release but they have great hold once the nappy is put on. The distribution of the liquid through the magic tubes means you don't have this bulky nappy that often hangs low. It provides a much better fit for your child.

How did this product make your life easier?

Alice Jayne: These nappies are the softest I've come across. My daughter seemed more comfortable in this brand of nappy above all others we've tried even whilst being wet or soiled. I adore the pattern and designs, and the fact they go right up to a size 6 for future reference.

Lisa: The packaging says it all, soft and dry. I have used these nappies during the day and at night and am happy we haven't experienced any leaks! This is the thinnest, lightest nappy we have used which is great for carrying in the changing bag. With it being so thin and light I wasn't expecting it to perform well but I was pleasantly surprised! It performed better than any nappy we have used in the past! The outer covering feels lovely and soft and the stretchy tabs stand up to a wriggly baby!

Jodie: The nappy is doing what I would expect a premium nappy to do. As it keeps my child dry throughout the night I don’t need to change him until the morning and the nappy does not leak through. I wouldn’t say they make my life any easier but they are comparable with more expensive brands. That is quite exceptional.

Would you choose this product to win?

Louise: The level of absorption it had and the fit on my daughter was so good meaning we did not have any leakage. My daughter did not develop nappy rash while some other nappies do if left on overnight due to dampness. I strongly feel it deserves to win for the price, especially when compared to other brands.

Claire: I think that this product should win in its category. I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t. When I first felt the nappy, I noticed that it felt quite thin compared to my usual brand and worried that it may not be as absorbent. This wasn’t the case. They were very well made and perfectly absorbent (easily lasting 12 hours overnight). I prefer the thinner style of nappy as I think it must be much comfier for my little boy. The style and design of the nappy is good, the absorbency is great and the price is excellent.

Aimee: I would absolutely choose this product over all others on the market. It is cost-effective, made from good quality material and goes above and beyond the job it is designed for. The fit of the nappy is so much better than the usual design. The re-distribution of liquid through the three tubes means a wet nappy isn’t as bulky for your baby resulting in comfort and more room to move. The texture of the nappy is made from much softer material than the previous Lupilu nappies.

What changes would you make to this product?

Alice Jayne: I would prefer if the leg cuffs were a little tighter. This is what let us down and where the leakage came from.

Lisa: I don’t think you could improve the nappy itself, I honestly found them truly amazing and we will most certainly be switching brands immediately! However, the ‘Magical Tubes’ description definitely puts me off. It sounds very much like a gimmick when in reality these ‘magical tubes’ do actually work! I want value for money and the word magical makes them sound cheap and tacky to me. Without trying them first I never would have bought them, even on a recommendation from a friend or family member.

Jodie: It would be better if the product was more environmentally friendly. Biodegradable packaging or making the nappy biodegradable would be impressive. This is becoming a much more important issue for parents, even if this increased the price. It would differentiate the product from others on the market. A percentage of the profits made from the product could be donated to some sort of charity to reduce the carbon footprint.
