Love To Dream Swaddle

The Love To Dream Swaddle is lovely and soft, and easy to use. The design allows for different arm positions (up or down), optional zipping and it has enough space for little legs to move around. It’s well shaped, with sizing dependent on weight rather than age.

The zip feature helps to minimise the disruption if a nappy needs changing. The sleeves are removable on the 3-month plus products, converting the swaddle into a summer sleeping bag.

The Love To Dream Swaddle UP is a Stage 1 sleepsuit featuring all the benefits of a traditional swaddle with the ease-of-use and safety of a sleepsuit.

Awards

The Love To Dream Swaddle Up won Silver in the Mother&Baby Awards 2025 for Best Product For A Newborn – 0-4 months.

The Love To Dream Swaddle Up has quickly become a favourite among parents for its thoughtful design and sleep-friendly features. Unlike traditional swaddles that restrict movement, this swaddle allows babies to sleep with their arms in a natural "arms up" position—something many testers found incredibly beneficial. One parent noted, "I love this swaddle. The arms-up positioning is very natural and supports the baby's comfort within the swaddle."

Many parents reported significant improvements in their baby’s sleep after using it. "Overall, I think the swaddle is brilliant and has definitely helped with our babies sleep," said one tester, while another added, "Our baby took to the Swaddle Up swaddle almost instantly, and it has made a remarkable difference in her sleep patterns."

Comfort is clearly a standout feature. "My child looks extremely comfortable in the swaddle and she likes to be able to move her hands to her face, which this swaddle allows unlike others," explained one parent. The soft, stretchy material adds to the cosy feel, with testers highlighting that "the materials are lovely and have a stretch in the material to make it even more comfortable."

The design is also praised for being practical and parent-friendly. With its dual zipper system, quick nappy changes are a breeze. "The design is very good and I like the fact it has two zips so you can just unzip the bottom for easy nappy changes," shared one reviewer. Another appreciated its breastfeeding compatibility, saying, "The design was great and I liked that I could still breast feed at night while he was wearing it."

Durability and seasonal comfort were also noted, with one parent saying, "Good all round product – ideal to keep baby swaddled. Fabric good quality and colour. Kept baby at good temperature across summer months."

How did this product make your life easier?

Lucy Clark says: This swaddle made my baby feel really snug. I think this helped her sleep better which obviously makes my life much easier as a mum of 3! The swaddle was easy to use and put on, and it was much quicker than folding baby in an actual swaddle but still provided that comfort feeing that babies like. I can now dress baby for bed really quickly and easily.

Georgina Cook says: I LOVE the swaddle up. My baby does not allow me to swaddle him with his arms across his chest. Because of this I was putting him to bed with his arms free and he subsequently startled often. Prior to introducing the swaddle up I resorted to using a baby nest at night (something I did not want to do) to reduce his startle and allow him to sleep for longer periods. With the swaddle up I can now put him in his bedside cot on a flat mattress and still have good periods of sleep.

Sarah Danby says: My baby has suffered with colic and reflux from week one and he has been very hard to settle unless he naps on me. He hasn’t got on well with other swaddle bags as he didn’t like his arms being restricted. He likes them near his face. The design of the swaddleup has been perfect as it has allowed me to swaddle with him still being able to self-soothe. The swaddleup has definitely helped settle him during his colicky episodes.

Would you recommend this product to other parents?

Grace Davies says: This swaddle was very quick to dry which was helpful as it has to be washed after every use. Now I am no longer using it, it has folded up very compactly- ideal for storage incase of another baby. It was much simpler to get baby in and out of than a conventional swaddle. However, I didnt get much use out of it before baby outgrew it.

Kyrie Clarke says: The Love to Dream swaddle up is such a fantastic sleep bag, I have recommended it to anyone who'll listen! Our little girl sleeps so well in it at night as it keeps her feeling cosy and swaddled while making sure she won't startle herself awake, which she often did in a half-swaddle blanket or a sleep bag with arms out. I like the way it allows her to sleep with her arms up, which is how she sleeps naturally, still allowing for movement but limiting the Moro reflex. It's a very unisex design and we think it makes her look like a little bat or flying squirrel, it's very cute. It's easy to put her in it, even when she's not happy about being out of the bath, and the zip is well protected around the neck so you don't need to worry about the potential of it digging in. The material is lightweight, soft and breathable and washes well- it also dries really quickly which is a godsend!

Leila Hill says: I would really recommend this product to other mums as it is perfect for summer time and I love the design. The product is nice and tight so the baby feels secure and wakes up less from a nap and in the night. Which is a positive for every new mother. I love the design, any baby would look cute in it.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Zainab Jeraj says: I haven’t seen another swaddle like this one so I would choose this one again, the product is of a high quality, washes well and does the job! It makes swaddling your baby much easier and reduced the faff of dealing with using blankets or Velcro wrap swaddles (which are so loud they can disturb your sleepy baby!)

Frances West says: Having used other swaddles, ones that Velcro or large muslin sheets the love to swaddle is just on another level. You don’t need to worry about either wrapping the baby too loosely or tightly as the fabric has its own stretch in it and having it size-related means that it will fit any size of baby. When it comes to changing a nappy you don’t need to take the baby out of the whole swaddle itself and then wrap them back up as that runs the risks of fully waking the baby. The love to swaddle solves this with one simple two way zip. There is just nothing else out there that provides the swaddling features in such a simple and usable design I would choose this product over any others out there.

Lucy Clark says: I would choose this product as it’s really simple and easy to use. I really like the double zip feature that makes changing a nappy in the middle of the night so easy, with minimal disruption to baby. It’s also easy to wash and dry, and in this warmer weather is a lovely thin material for nighttime use so I wasn’t worried about baby getting too hot.

What changes would you make to this product?

Sarah Danby says: It would be useful if it had the option to let the arms out. Paticularly if the swaddle is being used overnight as this would make nighttime feeding easier. I found it difficult to wind my baby wearing th swaddle and therefore had to remove it. It would make night feedings easier if I didn’t have to remove it and could wind him and put hi straight back down to sleep.

Grace Davies says: If this swaddle was slightly more spacious this would have been a very different review. My little boy is fairly round of tum and it was so tight that I didn't feel happy using it. On a slimmer baby you might get more wear out of it, but for the price, I would have been very unhappy if I had purchased this to only get minimal use.

Zainab Jeraj says: I would like to have it as a 2 pack, so if any accidents happen, you have a spare one ready straightaway. Also a variety of tog ratings would be good. I think the price point may be a little high for a swaddle but as I have used it so much, I would probably justify it to myself. Other than that, I am very happy with the product and would purchase it and recommend to other mums to try out and use.
