As a first-time mum I’m still getting to grips with all the products on the market, but I knew one thing I was keen to get was a baby swing! I gave the Bababing swing a go as something I can keep in my living room to entertain my little boy when I need it.

Testing the Bababing Hub Swing Chair
The swing has five speeds and can be connected to your phone via bluetooth, which as someone who has downloaded countless apps to pair up with various products and baby-related apps, I’m so glad I was able to get something that was connected via bluetooth instead.
The Bababing Hub Swing Chair has been a great addition into the newborn phase for me. The five different speed settings is perfect because while my little one is only two weeks old, I feel far more confident just using the first speed rather than ramping it up to speed 5 - which isn’t too much either, but at this stage I’m easing myself into it. Luckily, this was a super quick product to pull together, it couldn’t have happened any easier! I had no issues with any of the parts and it all happened within a matter of minutes, which was great.
While it was easy to pull together, I didn’t anticipate that the plug would have to be in at all times; it’s also not that long, so the swing only has a limited amount of places it can be put. While I don’t love that aspect, there are others I do love! The fact that it’s bluetooth connected to be able to play music of my choice, rather than needing to download an app, is so much better.
The swing is a really good size, I don’t think it’s too big nor too small, but the head rest wasn’t quite suited for a newborn under a certain size, but now my little one is over 8lb he fits perfectly in it. However, the straps still don’t fit quite tightly enough, he still has a little further to go before he is comfortably strapped in.
All of the material is machine washable so if it needs cleaning I can do so easily, it’s also super-soft and my son immediately gets comfortable the minute I put him in the swing. Once he’s happy in there, it’s touch-screen based and can go up a speed at the click of a button; which also happens with the music element of the swing, it couldn’t be easier to navigate.
It’s great for my little one to help him settle, when he just wanted to be held I was able to pop him in the swing and he was extremely happy from the minute he went in. He seemed incredibly comfortable and was happy looking at his little toys on the bar above him.

Final verdict
Overall, I’m really happy with the product. There are some changes that would benefit it, such as being able to make the straps tighter and either making it chargeable or extending the wire a bit. I love the settings on the swing, from 1-5 is all perfect, but even just setting one I think is perfect. The Bababing electric swing is an absolute bargain compared to similar products on the market, so especially for the price I would absolutely recommend it.
