How did this product make your life easier?

Lisa: I found our baby girl settled very quickly using this mattress compared to just the mattress we had, which came supplied with the cot originally. Our little girl seemed much more content and comfortable using the cleva foam one and it made nap times during the day so much easier and quicker to get her down.

Melissa: Since using the clevafoam mattress my baby has slept much better which makes mum life much more manageable after a full nights sleep. My baby settles quickly and seems less restless in the hot weather than he did with his previous mattress. Bedtime routine has been reduced by up to an hour as usually baby would need settling after being put into the cot.

Julia: This is a really lovely mattress - it’s well made, feels really good quality and looks super comfortable. I like the fact the cover is removable and can be washed if there are any accidents. The product is made of OEKO-tex approved materials and I like the fact that no harsh chemicals eg formaldehyde are used in the manufacturing process. It would be especially good for babies with allergies due to its hypoallergenic nature.

Would you recommend this to other parents?

Carly: The mattress is good value for money and with my first we tried a few different mattresses to help him transition into his cot in his own room, to no avail. He always struggled to sleep through however with my youngest we’ve tried this mattress and she’s transitioned really well - she’s been sleeping through and seems very well rested when she wakes up in a morning. The mattress is easy to clean and doesn’t feel like it will lose its shape.

Lisa: Oh yes definitely. One of the main things i loved was when it was delivered, now all parents buy in advance for their babies arrival and space can get very limited, especially if you have other children. The box that came was so compact and very small compared to what I thought was going to be delivered and was very surprised when we opened it up.

Melissa: The comfort of the mattress is second to none and the softest I’ve come across for a baby mattress. I love that the mattress is hypoallergenic and free from toxins as not all baby mattress’s are. Safe sleep guidance recommend baby’s sleep on their backs, the reduction in flat head syndrome by up to 50% is a real selling point for me. A friend has purchased this mattress following my recommendation due to her baby having flat head syndrome and has seen significant results! The outer cover is really easy to remove and wash. The mattress doesn’t lose its shape, although this mattress isn’t memory foam, it has similar qualities however doesn’t lose its shape or dip where baby’s head has been unlike a spring mattress.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Julia: I probably would choose this product if I didn’t have to think about the price tag - it really isn’t cheap, but I do think you’re getting a premium range product. It has been really well thought out, especially with regards to functionality, comfort and material choice. This product really does do everything you would want a baby’s mattress to do! For a cot mattress though (which obviously has a shorter duration of use than a cot bed), I think this is quite expensive.

Carly: I have bought a few different types of mattresses with my first and never found a mattress that he loved. It may be a coincidence, but this one has been a hit from the first night, she’s loved sleeping on it and has a decent nights sleep every night. I think that the design is good - it feels firm and supportive. I like that it’s hypoallergenic and toxin free so I do feel comfortable using it with my baby.

Lisa: I would never have thought to use anything like this at all and when I was first asked to review I wasn't sure it was for us, after reading into it and then giving it go, I recommend this now to all new parents to be to buy this additional support as its made such a difference for us with our second child who just seems much more comfortable.

What changes would you make to this product?

Melissa: The product needs to be left flat for 48 hours before use. The product arrives rolled up which I understand reducing the amount of packaging needed to ship and for hygiene however arriving flat ready to use would be great for busy mums needing sleep! Built in waterproof durability to protect the mattress, my baby has reflux so is sick quite often. I did purchase a waterproof sheet however as though it took a small part of the comfort away with the sheet being thicker than a normal sheet.

Julia: I suppose the price tag would be the only thing I would change. It’s a Iovely mattress for all of the reasons mentioned above. However looking at competitors pricing, I would say that a price point of £80-£100 would be more suitable for this item, rather than the £125+. I’m not sure that the additional cost is really necessary and therefore this would probably make me choose a similar but cheaper competitor.

Lisa: If I could change anything about this product it would be to request that you make king size ones for the parents to enjoy alongside the baby. In all honesty i cant think of anything that needs changed as we have found the additional support for our baby amazing and it does what it says on the box really.
