Testing the My Carry Potty Training System

My daughter loved the design of this product, we got the pink dragon design but there were many others to choose from. She enjoyed choosing her own and the matching training pants were very cute.

We've used it mostly as a travel potty as it has a lid and handle so it's really handy to put in the car or under the pushchair so we're not constantly having to find the nearest toilet. It has been a godsend at times.

I loved that it did what it said and was leakproof. I tested it with water first and not a drip came out. It has been amazing in situations where its not easy to empty immediately, such as when we were at the park without a toilet, we could just use it in a discreet place and then shut it and empty it at home.

The nappy pants I wasn't as impressed with at first as they have virtually no absorbency but it does state that they are meant for small accidents rather than holding a full wee and as my daughter has progressed during potty training I've become more confident in the use of them.

I haven't seen another potty that has a lid like this one and that claims to be leakproof so it's certainly unique in its category. The designs themselves are cute and colourful with a large choice to be able to fit your toddler's interests and encourage them to use it along with having the training pants to match. We found our daughter asks for her dragon potty even at home now and doesn't just want to use it as a travelling potty so it's a winner for her.

Final thoughts

The only thing I would change is for the lid to be hinged in some way that it stays open in an upright position, my daughter likes to use it with the lid resting against something so she can sit back against it and sometimes that isn't possible so the lid just had to fall back onto the floor and takes up more room. A small integrated compartment for wipes/toilet roll would be a great addition too to make life more convenient when using out and about.
