We thoroughly enjoyed reviewing the SA Kids Potty Training Toilet Seat with Splash Guard. This is a fun potty to use to encourage success with potty training. It has such a fun design that my daughter absolutely loved it. This potty is a good price and in line with others on the market. It does more and is more appealing than your basic potty and so we felt it was a very good price.
We started our journey with potty training shortly before receiving this product. My daughter had just started getting the hang of letting us know she had to go. In order to get her enthused, we bought a potty in the shape of a whale as she loves animals. This potty has a removable tray which has been great in enabling us to empty it easily and get her to help us. In her bedroom she had a cheaper, basic potty that didn’t have this feature. We liked the look of the SA potty and loved that it too had a removable tray for easy emptying. My daughter loves to open it up and pour this down the toilet all by herself. It really enhances the toilet training process.

Testing the SA Products Kids Potty Training Toilet Seat with Splash Guard
As a mum going through the potty training phase, I’ve found this potty to be a real lifesaver! It’s sturdy with a non-slip base, so I don’t worry about it sliding around when my little one sits on it. The design is comfy and just the right height, which has made my child feel more confident and willing to use it. Cleaning is easy thanks to the removable bowl—no fuss, no mess. It’s lightweight enough to move from room to room, for those times you need to follow your toddler around in order to catch any accidents. It is lightweight enough to carry in the car with you if you are going to family but it is quite substantial and does take up a fair bit of room. Overall, it’s been a great tool to help make this transition as smooth as possible for both of us!
When I first received this potty, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it was packaged—it came well-protected, which I appreciated. The instructions were simple and easy to follow, making setup a breeze. For the price, I feel like the quality is excellent; it’s sturdy, well-designed, and seems built to last through the potty training years. The material feels durable and child-safe, and it has a nice, smooth finish that’s comfortable for my little one. Overall, my first impression is that it’s a well-made, practical product that offers great value for the money.
I am a mother to a 2 year old girl. We began potty training the week before her second birthday. It took around two weeks for her to really get the hang of it and let us know when she needed to go. She enjoys using a potty now and calls herself a ‘potty superstar’.
We tested this product for 4 weeks to get a really good feel for how it worked and how my daughter felt about it over time. The potty has a very fun cheery face design which delighted my little girl no end. She helped me unbox it and immediately wanted to sit on it. The potty was well packaged and everything was as had been advertised.
I really liked that the potty came with an attached lid. My daughter likes to put her teddies on the potty and pretend they are going to the toilet. She is now able to do this by placing them on the lid rather than in the bowl itself. My daughter also liked sitting on the potty with the lid down and using it as a place to sit and read stories. The only issue with this is that the lid was a little flimsier than the rest of the potty and my daughter did occasionally trap her fingers in it. The potty’s she had been using were quite low in comparison and required a much deeper squatting position which sometimes proved difficult and as she backs on to it, she has occasionally missed the seat. However this potty has a brilliant height to it and it means she can sit comfortably and at a 90 degree angle just like a normal toilet. This was something she really liked and is why she chose to use it as a seat too.
The only downside I could see to this potty was getting out the inner tray. It was a little fiddly as you have to lift the seat to get to it and as a result the seat comes off quite easily. My daughter enjoyed playing with this and liked to dismantle it often (see picture) but this is nothing that would stop me buying the product again. I loved that this potty also has a toilet roll holder built into it. This proved very handy and meant that we were not running to the toilet for the toilet roll to wipe her or using wipes. She also loved being able to collect her own toilet paper to practice wiping her own bottom. This holder can be pushed in when not in use, If this is not a feature that is required. The design features a flush handle. I initially thought this handle moved to simulate flushing. Unfortunately it does not move and serves only a decorative purpose. I think it would have been a great addition for this to have been a moveable feature to build further toileting skills.
This product fully met my expectations, was sturdy and has some good features. One of these features was the splash guard (see picture). My daughter had no need for this but I can see that for a boy this may have been useful. It was great that this was a removeable feature though so that it could be adapted for my daughter to use. The only down side I can see to this is the fact that you have to move the splash guard into position before the child uses the potty and then return it to its original positions or the lid will not close properly. I feel that this could be a little unhygienic and might mean that you have to clean this at the same time as the tray. It is very easily removed though so I do not think this would be too much of a problem.
Final verdict
In conclusion, this potty offers excellent value for money with its thoughtful features, sturdy design, and child-friendly details that genuinely help with the potty-training process. It delivers well on its core function, providing a comfortable, safe seat for my daughter to practice using the potty independently. The height is perfect, allowing her to sit at a natural angle, which makes her feel more comfortable and encourages regular use.
I’d recommend this product to parents of toddlers who are starting potty training and want something engaging and practical. The cheerful design and built-in accessories, like the toilet roll holder and splash guard, make it especially appealing for young kids, while the attached lid adds versatility, as my daughter also enjoyed using it as a seat for reading or for placing her toys.
The main reason to buy this potty is its child-friendly design that goes beyond function to add playfulness, making the process more enjoyable for both child and parent. Highlights included my daughter’s excitement over the friendly face design, her independence with the toilet roll holder, and her comfort with the potty’s height. The only downside was the lid, which was a bit flimsy, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience. My daughter was the main user, though other family members helped supervise her, and everyone appreciated the convenience of the features, especially the toilet roll holder and sturdy build.
