New mum, Charlotte, put the Cybex Beezy stroller through its paces on a recent holiday abroad, here’s how she got on…
As a first time Mum, I am always on the lookout for products to make my life with a little one as easy as possible. I have a small city car and needed a travel sized pushchair that was compact enough to fit into the tight boot space but also sturdy enough for regular use when nipping out for coffee and play dates. We also had an upcoming holiday, which my little ones was first time aboard so were looking for the perfect travel buggy for our trip. The Cybex Beezy is a fantastic accessory, where comfort meets a stylish, agile design. The practical ultra-compact design makes it easy to store and is the ideal companion for running errands or travel with a little one in tow. I was looking for a product that would be practical enough to travel around with us but also a pushchair that would be comfortable enough for my baby to spend long periods of time in. Finding a pushchair that was cushioned, breathable and has the ability to fully recline to allow my little one to comfortably nap was essential.

Build
The Cybex Beezy is easy to store in our small car and compact enough to allow for it to stay in there with having some room left to store other baby essentials such as portable high chair and changing bag when out and about. It is also cabin friendly and is able to be stored in overhead lockers on the aeroplane which makes it a great abroad travel accessory. The pushchair is lightweight but also sturdy enough to ensure my baby is comfortable and the ride is smooth. The pushchair features a large canopy which covers the baby well, even when in a lay-flat position. The under-basket storage is large enough to fit essential items, I have used this to store an extra blanket, coat and lunch bag or small shopping bags. The new larger wheels are a great for most terrains, making them a particularly useful feature for a travel style pushchair – which can sometimes be a little flimsy.
Usability
The Cybex Beezy is great to manoeuvre. The all-wheel suspension enables easy handling and a comfortable journey for both parents and baby. The larger wheels enable the pushchair to easily handle most terrains without it being a struggle to push. We live on a farm and use the Beezy out walking along the tracks as well as for travel. The seat position is adjustable via a toggle located on the back of the seat. This is a little difficult to adjust when baby is in the pushchair as you have to lift their weight in order to adjust their position and secure the toggle. I will continue to use the Beezy as my regular travel companion due to its excellent usability. It fits perfectly into the boot of my small city car but would equally fit under a seat in a larger vehicle. I have not personally used the Cybex Beezy with the car seat attachment as my daughter prefers more space as a 9 month old. However, I believe this feature would be extremely handy as the attachment of the car seat is something I used frequently when my daughter was younger on her alternative pushchair.
Performance
The break on the Cybex Beezy is very easy to apply. It works by simply flicking down the switch using your foot, which is located on a bar on the back wheels of the pushchair. It is also just as simple to release, by flicking it upwards. The breaks work efficiently and ensure the pushchair is safe and sturdy when putting baby inside and when in a parked position. The harness is very secure and uses two arm straps which connect to a third strap between baby’s legs. These click in easily and provide all round support when baby is in the pushchair. Unfortunately adjusting the harness is a little tricky using the cord system.
Final verdict
We absolutely love the Cybex Beezy and feel we would be lost without it for our regular outings. We will be sure to use it time and time again for travel both in the UK and abroad. Its lightweight, compact yet very comfortable and sturdy design makes it a fantastic product. The only thing we would change would be the way the seat is adjusted and perhaps an easier way of extending the harness. We believe the Cybex Beezy is great value for money as although it is a travel pushchair, its features mean it is also suitable for everyday use. We would definitely recommend this product to all parents looking for a travel pushchair or those who have a smaller vehicle that regular pushchairs do not fit. I believe my daughter will get a lot of use out of the pushchair and feel confident that she will remain comfortable in the Beezy until it is outgrown.
Cybex Beezy FAQs
Can the Cybex Beezy go on planes?
Yes, the Cybex Beezy is hand luggage compatible on most airlines and it's small enough to fit into the overhead compartment. We would however always recommend checking with the airline you are flying with before your trip as hand luggage policies when it comes to strollers can vary.
What's the difference between the Cybex Beezy and Cybex Orfeo?
Both suitable travel strollers from birth, there are a few slight differences between the Beezy and the Cybex Orfeo to keep in mind. The Beezy has four back rest positions whereas the Orfeo has three. The Orfeo measures smaller when folded and comes with a travel strap making it better suited for travelling on a plane. The Beezy comes with all-wheel suspension whereas the Orfeo comes with just front wheel suspension so if you're planning on doing more walking with your stroller, the Beezy might be better suited.
What car seats are compatible with the Cybex Beezy?
The Beezy is compatible with the Cybex Cloud Q, Cloud G, Cloud G Lux and Aton series as well as Gb car seats. These are attached using the car seat adapters included with each stroller purchase.
