Testing the Elodie Mondo Stroller
Build
The stroller folds easily with one hand, making it great for quick storage and transport, and is particularly helpful for me as I am constantly on the go.
The large under-basket is a great feature, as it offers plenty of space for shopping. don't have a car so I found this to be especially useful when taking trips to the shop.
The buggy is light and compact when folded, making it easy to travel with. However due to being so light, it can feel a bit too light at times, leading to a lack of balance when turning corners. But this isn't a major issue as it is really easy to manoeuvre.
One thing I did find was that the adjustable straps are tricky to manage and don’t seem to secure tightly, and while the break away straps are good for getting them out quickly, it can be slightly unreliable for active toddlers like mine.
Usability
The stroller rides smoothly on straight paths, but turning corners can be problematic, especially when the basket is empty. When pushing over grass it performs ok but could benefit from better stability.
Adjusting the seat and changing attachments are straightforward and I didn't have any issues with doing this.
Performance
The brakes work effectively, but the harness, unfortunately, falls short. It’s difficult to adjust and doesn’t stay secure, creating significant safety concerns, especially when compared to other strollers in this price range.
Final verdict
Overall, I loved the storage options and the ease of folding that the Elodie Mondo has, making it an ideal option for busy parents. The small purse on the hood was a thoughtful addition as it meant you could carry essentials without needing an additional bag.
One thing I would change about this is the straps, as I feel that these could be a lot more secure, so given the high cost of the stroller I do feel it needs addressing.
