A well-made and sturdy model that’s perfect for tackling rough terrain but be warned - it’s EXTREMELY heavy. Can be used as a travel system by adding a compatible car seat which also has the benefit of lying flat in the car and can be used for overnight sleeping. Not for city dwellers who want to hop on and off public transport.
While undeniably luxurious and well designed, this pram is just going to be too bulky and heavy for most parents. If you’ve got a big car to transport it in, big muscles to lift and fold it, and a big enough budget to pay for it, the Jane Trider is the perfect three-wheeledpushchair. We love that you can adjust the rear suspension so your baby will always be comfortable, however rough the terrain.
It can be transformed into a travel system by adding a Matrix car seat (£250) which not only can be used in a lie-flat position when travelling, it also can be used for overnight sleeping. The seat unit is reversible too, so your child can look at you. The Trider is extremely comfortable for babies and toddlers as it copes with rough terrain well, but is not a practical model for city living. The pushchairis suitable from six months, but will only work for a newborn if you attach the 0+ Matrix car seat.
