With adjustable shock absorbers and hard-wearing tyres, this handles any terrain. The high seat position means you can use it for meals on the move, and the overall design is impressively sleek and sophisticated. It’s compatible with a car seat, so turns into a travel system. It’s on the heavy side, though.

Tested by Sarah McIntyre, 35, mum to Leo, six months. She says:

The recline feature is fiddly – I finally found the lever as I was losing the will to live. The basket’s small with zero space for groceries. It just about fits the raincover. It’s heavy to push, especially round corners, and impossible to lift into the boot. That said, Leo seemed especially comfortable in this one.

Tested by Sarahjane Welch, 34, mum to Penny, 12 months. She says:

Stylish and robust, this withstood a country walk without wobbling my daughter’s breakfast back up, but its length makes it unwieldy. The seat position is easy to adjust, even with
my daughter on board, and the straps are a dream. My 6’3’’ husband loves the handlebar height. The basket is small, though, and won’t take my change bag.

Tested by Alexia Pellowe, 33, mum to Harry, 18 months. She says:

The chassis length makes this hard to control, especially downhill and round corners, and I felt too far away from Harry. It requires two hands to fold, and the basket is small – it only fits one grocery bag and is tricky to access. It’s so heavy that I avoided lifting it out of the boot altogether, and considered carrying Harry instead.
