Micralite Superlite Pushchair

A very light model, one of a few lightweights that can be used as part of a travel system, but it’s bulky when folded and doesn’t recline well for naps.

The Superlite is impressively light, yet copes well with rough terrain thanks to the large air filled back wheels. It’s unusual too, as it can take a carrycot (£145) or a car seatto form a travel system, meaning that it can be used from birth. The instructions are refreshingly clear, the handlebars can be rotated to different heights and the raincover squashes up into a space saving bag.

Even though it’s a compact model, the basket is a great size underneath and it has an all weather hood that has a handy viewing panel. Its good on the go too, with a unique one handed fold that’s great fow when you’re hopping on the bus. The Super-Lite is let down by the lack of seat recline and its bulky when folded, but this model could feasibly last you from birth (with carrycot or car seat) through to the toddler years.
