Build

The seat has an extendable water-repellent canopy with UPF 50+ protection, zip-out fabric, and mesh panels with covering for added protection in any weather. We have found this canopy to be extremely useful coming into the Autumn season as the low sun in the sky can be dazzling for our son.

The extra coverage provided by the canopy has meant no more dazzling strolls, even when the seat is in the fully reclined position. As well as the canopy to protect him from the elements, the rain cover fits well and offers good protection from the rain.

With there being over a foot difference in height between my husband and I, the one-hand, adjustable handlebar feature has been great to allow comfort for us both when pushing the pushchair.

One thing I really loved as well was the storage basket, as this is by far the largest basket I have seen on a pushchair. The extra-large basket is easily accessible and allows you to store all your essentials while strolling. This feature has been a bonus for our 4-year-old son. Not only does the basket fit our baby essentials in it, but it's also large enough to store all his coats, and bags, and even rest his scooter on when he is tired of riding it!

The all-season seat has a breathable mesh back, this allows for better airflow and aids the prevention of little one overheating. As well as the mesh back, there is also a removable seasonal seat liner for added comfort in cooler climates. The comfort seat can be parent-facing or forward-facing allowing the child to face in both direction during travel.

As well as multidirectional, it also has a one-handed multi-position recline for those resting strolls. I found the harness system quick to-secure, with the magnetic buckle being easy-to-adjust and simple to use, as it replaces the traditional clasp buckle that can be tricky.

We really like that this system allows for him to initially be able to face us in the seat, with the flexibility for us to change the seat position as he grows.

The all-weather seat gives us the reassurance that he is comfortable and cosy as we stroll, and the reclining feature certainly makes for more convenient on-the-go naps.

Usability

The UPPAbaby Vista V3 Pushchair can be folded in one simple step - it really is effortless. The chair can be folded with or without the seat attached and stands alone when folded for compact storage. The system can be comfortably stored in the boot of a family-sized car and is lightweight enough to lift without exertion.

The everyday battle to restrain our son using a harness has evaporated too, as it's so simple, easy and quick to secure that the little man doesn’t even have the chance to put up a fight.

The UPPAbaby Vista V3 Pushchair also manoeuvres with ease and is suitable for use on a number of different terrains from footpaths, to grass and stones. The flex ride suspension is really good, allowing for a smooth stroll no matter the surface. Little one does not get jostled around as you walk, and the very smooth ride eliminates the chances of waking a sleeping baby - which is a huge bonus.

Not only is it smooth for the rider, but also for the user pushing the chair. The never flat tires and reflective trims complete the package too.

Performance

The breaks on the system feel secure and are easy to use. Visual indicators on the wheel locks give piece of mind for parents, so you can see it's locked at a glance.

The harness system uses a magnetic buckle, replacing the traditional clasp buckle and the shoulder and waist-strap pieces seem to “find” each other easily, making it simple to close. We found this made it much quicker to fasten and we endured less of a battle when it came to restraining our son in the chair.

Adjusting the harness was simple and the padding around the straps was comfortable against our sons shoulder and chest.

The frame is very sturdy and looks sleek. It is quite large and bulky so when navigating the shops we did find that we struggled to fit down some of the narrower aisles – and this was just in single-user mode.

Final verdict

Flexible and trendy, the UPPAbaby Vista V3 is a great pushchair with the ability to convert from a single to a multiple-use unit. The system really focuses on the comfort of the child with an all-weather seat, extendable canopy, and superior suspension for smooth, all-terrain travel.

When it comes to storage, this pushchair comes up trumps with a very large basket that offers plenty of space for when you need to pack the pram up for adventures.

Easy to put together, sturdy, and comfortable, I'm very pleased with the overall performance of this chair and I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a pushchair to grow with their family.
