LittleLife Toddler Backpacks have been made to last through the years. Not only are they designed to last, they are made from recycled bottles, and one per cent of all profits is donated to sea life conservation charities to help protect our oceans. What's more, all plastic packaging from these lines has been removed.
Sydney the Stingray celebrates one of the most iconic animals in the sea with a beautiful spotted back and a really cute face on the backpanel as well. The backpack still incorporates the standard safety harness, including toddler reins and has a name tag inside in case he gets lost. Sydney was also awarded silver in our 2023 Mother and Baby Awards in the Best Safety Product category.

Testing the LittleLife Stingray Toddler Backpack with Rein
Our mum testers were big fans of this backpack. From the design to how quickly their little ones took to wearing it, was a winner.
One tester said, "I really enjoyed using the backpacks with my twins. The stingray design is so cute and they really enjoyed wearing them. I found by having the backpack reigns they were able to have their freedom whilst still being safe. With two on the go it’s certainly needed as well especially if they try and go off in different directions! The backpack design I found useful to carrying their little water bottles, dummies, snacks etc whilst out on days out."
As well as ideal storage for days out, our testers found that their little ones were very happy to weat these reins unlike other reins they have tried in the past.
Another tester commented, "A very positive experience so far. It is very easy to put on our child and he actually wants to wear it. (As opposed to our traditional reigns that he runs away from!). The small amount of storage has proven quite useful for carrying some spare bibs and some anti-bac – the bag could hold more but then our little one couldn’t carry it. Overall, this is a really smart product that or two year old likes wearing, and serves as a pair of reigns to keep him safe."
They also loved how comfortable their tots found it to wear, and although it could fit some supplies in, it never weighed their toddler down. As well as this, the cute, gender-neutral design was a hit, and it matched well with most outfits.
"This is a fantastic product, the rucksack fitted comfortably on my little boy and fitted a nice amount inside it, just enough without being heavy. I also liked the design, which was both fun but also easy to match to most outfits and look super cute with them."
Some mums suggested the bag could benefit from some reflective patches so their little one can be seen easier in the dark, especially during the winter months. They also suggested it could benefit from better instructions when it came to the straps as some mums found it very fiddly.
"I think it would be useful to have more instruction around the best positioning of the straps. I found it quite time consuming to adjust the straps to the correct position so there wasn’t too much of a gap between the straps and shoulders. I also didn’t want the straps to be too tight but didn’t want it too loose either! This is my only criticism."
Final thoughts
This was a brilliant little bag for keeping exploring toddlers close by on walks and on days out. Although some mums found the straps a little fiddly to adjust, they loved how comfortable their little ones seemed when wearing it, and it made them both feel much safer when out and about.
It's also great for storing snacks and any other essentials for a day out without weighing down little bodies. The cute design and the brands impressive eco credentials also made it a firm favourite with our testers.
