How did this product make your life easier?
Eleanor: I thought this was a great swimsuit. It fitted really well and I was reassured that my daughter was protected while playing in the sun without having to worry about reapplying sunscreen. I loved that this swimsuit was made from recycled materials. I felt that it washed well although it did seem to stain a little.
Sophie: I loved the fact that this product has built-in UV protection. Applying sunscreen onto a wriggly toddler can be a real struggle, so this product minimises the time needed to be spent on applying sunscreen all over, as well as illuminating the need to reapply suncream all over after having a swim too!
Laura: This product makes my life easier because I know my baby's skin is protected in the sun. I don't have to worry about sunscreen all over his body (which typically flares up his eczema) as this sunsuit is SPF50+/UPF50+. I know his skin is protected and he can be out in the sun and I don't have to worry.
Would you recommend this to other mums?
Sarah: I would recommend this Noma all in one swimsuit to other mothers because of the comfort and protection from the sun. It looks lovely and comes in a range of colours. It is easy enough to take on and off and folds up small to take in a beach bag. It has washed nice. It seems to be a nice fit for my son who is fairly chunky.
Jenny: I would recommend this all-in-one swimsuit because it offers environmental protection to the future of our children - it is made from 78% recycled polyamide from abandoned fishing nets. Even the zips are recycled and you can send the swimwear back for re-recycling if you don’t give it away after use. it’s very soft and looks and feels to be of high quality and the colours are fabulous. We received the turquoise which was just gorgeous and could easily be worn by a boy or a girl. My toddler gets sweat rashes when he wears sunscreen on his back and belly, so I liked the fact that this swimsuit offered sun protection all over. I only had to put some on his hands and feet. The type of sunscreen I normally have to use is the physical organic kind that is very expensive and hard to rub in as I’m allergic to the normal high-street variety, so it was a relief not to have to use lots of that on my son.
Margaret: I would recommend this product to a fellow mum. When my little one grows out of the swimsuit I will definitely purchase another. The swimsuit is a bit pricey compared to others on the market. However, with the quality of the suit, it is clearly made to last a long time. The size is 12 to 24 months. My little girl is quite big for her age and I can see this lasting her until she is 2. We have used this suit all summer, love this swimsuit.
Would you choose this product to win?
Sophie: I would definitely choose this product over others on the market. I really loved the design, and the gorgeous turquoise colour makes it fab for both genders. I also really loved the quality of the material, which felt superior to other all in one swimsuit that I have seen available. Also, the eco-friendly aspect was a huge plus!
Eleanor: I think this is a really fantastic product, but while I would pay slightly more for a sustainable product I feel like this isn't offering very good value for money. Perhaps if it lasted really well and was able to be used for multiple children, or sold on when outgrown, I could justify the price tag but we haven't tested it for long enough to be able to say that.
Sarah: I really like this product; it is a great design and comes in various different colours. It looks great on and is of excellent quality. I love that it is made from sustainable sources. The product retails at £42, which is on the high end of the market in my opinion. Although it is great quality, I doubt I could afford to buy these for my two children in different sizes as they grow. Saying that, if I could afford to, they are definitely of a very high quality.
What changes would you make to this product?
Margaret: I would not change anything about this product. I love the fact it is made from recycled fishing nets. The colours of the swimwear are gender-neutral. So, if you expand your family you can reuse the swimsuit. The suit provides sun protection for your little one's skin. The swimsuit is expensive compared to others on the market. However, considering the quality and how much we have used this swimsuit already. It is great value for the money.
Jenny: We actually found the all-in-one swimsuit a bit tight on my 19-month-old son. His swimsuit is for 18-24 months, which is the size of clothes he’s wearing, but it was a bit tight across his belly and legs. There were a lot of problems getting him into the swimsuit, trying to pull the legs up like tights. He was not happy at all and it took a few attempts with lots of protesting and him throwing himself about before we could get it on him. Once it was on, he seemed to forget that he was wearing it after a while (and some snacks!) but it made us dread using it and we only used it once, then went back to our original all-in-one (which we already had by the time this one arrived). The suit we already had was wider on the stomach and legs but for the same age group. For a girl or slender boy, it would probably fit really well. I wonder if zips on the legs might help or whether that would be uncomfortable or unfeasible?
Laura: Whilst I understand that gender-neutral clothing is very 2019, I received the turquoise sunsuit which is designed to be gender-neutral - however I have girl-boy twins, and I only used this swimsuit on my son. I wouldn't use it on my daughter because I think it is typically a boys colour, I would like to see more gender-neutral colours, rather than blue.
