Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow parent?
A really fantastic and fun way to learn to read, through games, stories and writing skills. This electronic LeapReader pen and its accompanying books is something we will definitely recommend to fellow parents. The LeapReader pen is easy for little hand to hold, simple for parents to change and is a sleek and stylish design. It is easy to wipe clean and reacts well to our toddler’s possible over-pressured approach. The books are great we tested a few and were surprised at how easily and quickly our 3 year old took to this. We have looked on the website and are astonished about how many different you can get. It was perfect for our visits to grandparents and to use in the car or during a pre-bed quite time.
How does this product make your life easier?
Our son is starting school this September and we are constantly trying to find ways to improve his recollection of words and sounds. The LeapReader does just this and we believe it will increase very quickly over time. The pen is small and really quick to change so makes our lives a lot easier.
If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?
We really like this product and would only think that a carry bag and a little off the RRP would make it better.

Why would you recommend this product to a friend/fellow mum?
I think the Leap Reader is a fabulous product. After charging it for an hour it was ready to go. There are 6 ways to learn 'Getting Ready To Read', 'Early Reading', 'Read On Your Own', 'Read & Write' and 'Learn Through Reading', plus 'Audio Books, Learning Songs and Trivia Fun'. You can also write with the pen on special "magic" paper as my son liked to call it. The book that is supplied with the reader demonstrates all of these. The songs drove me mad, very catchy and very American but my son seemed to like them! A large range of books are available and starting around the £7 mark not overly expensive.
How does this product make your life easier as a mum?
My son really interacted with this product, he figured out how to use it within minutes. At almost four he is only just beginning to learn phonics but I believe this product is really going to help him learn and there are so many ways it can be used, I love the fact that it can break every word down. Not only concentrating on the words but the interactive nature of every part of the books, the pictures, activities, songs and games included on every page meant that although he could not read the word he was able to keep his interest throughout the books. He had a really good go at writing on the paper and loved that he could do it and copy the examples. I think if this product stays in one piece it will last my son through his early learning reading years.
If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?
There isn’t much I would change about this product. The songs annoyed me but only because I couldn’t get them out of my head! I also found that the reader was a little bit big for my son to hold but on the other hand if it was smaller and less sturdy it probably would not last as long. Other than this I think it is almost perfect.

Absolutely fantastic product. On the surface i thought it looked expensive for what it was, however the pen has so much more to offer. The learning which my 4 year old gained from playing it was unbelievable. Really helping with development whilst providing fun at the same time.
How does this product make your life easier as a mum?
To see my child learning while having fun at the same time is so valuable. Loved that it helped with difficult words and allowed numbers and letter writing to be massively improved. Brilliant value for money.
If you could change one thing about this product what would it be?
Nothing, I loved every bit!
