Testing the My Child Coupe 2-in-1 Baby Walker

I am a first-time mum to an 11-month-old girl who desperately wants to be on the move, however she isn’t stable enough yet to do so which I’m sure many other parents will understand how frustrated babies get when they are wanting to be so independent already.

We tested the coupe 2-in-1 baby walker for 1 month throughout our home and over 2 different types of flooring (carpet and hard wood). Upon delivery I was impressed with how compact and light the box was considering the size of the product and to my surprise when opening the box, the walker came with clear instructions and easily accessible parts.

The walker was easy to put together following the clear instructions provided. I have to say it was very difficult for my daughter to move anywhere due to the white plastic ‘speed restrictors’ on the bottom of the walker. After these were removed, the walker was great on hard floors and moved safely with ease. My daughter absolutely loved the sounds the walker makes and can quite often be seen dancing away to the nursery rhymes, moving the gear stick up and down or pressing the horn.

Although the walker is advertised as fold flat for storage, the item is still relatively bulky so you would need to have the space in order to store the walker away. I believe this walker would be best suited to houses with a lot of room or open plan to allow your baby to move as freely as they can within the walker as it unfortunately didn’t allow my daughter to move with ease around corners and could at times be a tight squeeze through doorways. I did however love that the seat padding can be easily removed for cleaning as babies this age are always bound to get messy!

Final verdict

The walker retails at £74.99 which in comparison to other similar walkers available is at the higher price point. Although it does offer entertaining functions for your little one it would not be the best value for money in my opinion however it does offer all that is advertised, and my daughter enjoys using it.

If you are interested in a baby walker and have mainly hard flooring with room for storage, then this walker would be a great buy for you, and I can guarantee it will keep your baby entertained whilst you need to do other jobs without the worry of them crawling away.
