We love joining the Cassidy family on their prehistoric farm, where dinosaurs still roam, to watch Dino Ranch with our littles. As the young ranchers learn so much from farm life on screen, our kiddies are mesmerised by the colourful show, adventures, and thrills that ranch life has to offer. Not only can the Dino Ranch show be enjoyed on Disney+, but there are also a plethora of toys to treat the kids to.

What is Dino Ranch?

Young Dino Ranch fans follow the action-packed adventures of adopted siblings Jon, Min, Miguel and their Ma and Pa on the ranch, and the surrounding areas, as they raise their dinosaur livestock. There’s lots of riding fast, reigning in runaway dinosaurs, healing dinosaurs and much more. The show focuses on the importance of family life, valuing hard work, encouraging teamwork and highlighting some of the challenges that come with growing up.

Where can I buy Dino Ranch toys?

Since the show started in January 2021, Dino Ranch toys have become even more popular in the UK, with retailers such as Amazon, the Early Learning Centre and Argos selling the popular play sets. From adventure combos, to smaller rancher pairs and their dino companion, we’ve reviewed the best Dino Ranch toys for your children, and you, either to play with together or to encourage independent play.

This set comes with Min the Dino Rancher, a flip cart, little pool, stable, fences, two little dinosaurs, plus one surprise dino in the egg that hatches. The fences connect with each other, and to the ranch gate, plus we love that it can be connected to other sets purchased in the range.

Suitable from: 3 years and older

Review: "We love that we can build a bit of a ranch scene with this set, as character Min looks after her two baby dinos. Our little ones enjoyed placing the dinos in the little pool and walking them in and out, through the ranch gate. An added feature is the surprise incubator that lights up to reveal a baby dino."

Pros

  • Encourages creative play by adding water to the little pool included
  • Light up egg
  • Bright colours
  • Batteries included

Cons

  • A bit pricey for what's included

The Dino Ranch The Clubhouse comes equipped with lights and sound, and it includes lots of opportunities for children and their friends/siblings to play together with it’s double-sided play feature. It has a look out tower, a pop up room, a trap door, a crash wall to ride out of with the dino cart included and a slide. There are also three dino figures and three beds to put them to sleep in the clubhouse at night

Suitable from: 3 years and above

Review: "My toddler loves this set! He particularly loves the star button to light up and make sounds from the clubhouse and the crash wall that he can charge the dinos out from! There are lots of fun extras, with lights and music, plus as we watch the show, it's great to see included some of the main characters."

Pros

  • Encourages playing together with 'double-sided play' feature
  • Large play set
  • Lots of areas for creative play
  • Includes show main characters, Jon, Min, Blitz and Clover

If you love watching Dino Ranch, well, if your little one does, then Biscuit the T-rex and Angus the triceratops will come as an exciting duo to play with. This makes for a great gift, as both Biscuit and Angus' arms and legs move, with additions of Biscuit's mouth that opens and closes, and Angus "breathes" when you press his tummy.

Suitable from: 3 years and over

Review: "Our dino-loving toddler loved these figures! He ran them through the house and got them out when watching Dino Ranch on the telly. We would have loved to have seen at least one of the Dino Ranch riders included, so would suggest pairing this up with another set in the range."

Pros

  • Dino figure's mouth and tummy move for lifelike and imaginative play
  • Well made
  • Colourful

Cons

  • Rider not included

This dynamic duo can be saddled up and enjoyed together as Miguel is able to ride Tango. This pair is one of the more affordable sets in the range and is well made, plus Miguel's hat can also be removed.

Suitable from: 3 years old and above

Review: "We can see how the kiddies can become addicted with building the whole Dino Ranch set, as our little ones play with the Miguel and his beloved dino Tango. We immediately want the other play sets from the Dino Ranch toy range. This feels worth the price, but you definitely have to spend more to create the Dino Ranch setting. The pair feel sturdy, although it is a little difficult (even for us big kids) to seat Miguel on Tango."

Pros

  • Well-made/sturdy characters
  • Colourful characters
  • Reasonably priced
  • Hat can be removed from Miguel

Cons

  • Difficult to seat Miguel on Tango

Clover the Brontosaurus is paired-up with a fun breakaway set of fences to help keep him safe - this encourages imaginative play as you imagine you're on the Dino Ranch set. Clover feels well made, you can move his legs, plus this set can be added, and connected with, other fences in the Dino Ranch range.

Suitable from: 3 years and above

Review: "Our toddler was very excited to open up Clover and walk him in and out of the stable that this set comes with. If you watch the show you know that it would be good to have Min the Dino Rancher included as Clover is her dino companion. However, the younger toddlers love this regardless."

Pros

  • Includes one complete stable
  • Main dino character, Clover, included
  • Durable play set
  • Can be connected with other Dino Ranch toys in the range

Cons

  • Doesn't include Min the Dino Rancher

Dino Rancher Jon and his companion Blitz offer plenty of fun with the duo and their chariot. Jon's hat can be removed and the chariot incorporates a spinning action in the flame-shaped exhaust. We also love the pull-back-and-go feature to help parents and toddlers interact together at playtime.

Suitable from: 3 years and above

Review: "What fun our toddler had with this toy! The fact that rider Jon is able to board the chariot and has a wearable hat was fun enough. The chariot has a spinning, fire exhaust and our little one couldn't get enough!"

Pros

  • Includes chariot with pull back and go play feature
  • Main characters Jon and Blitz combined for added fun
  • Can be joined by Min, Clover, Miguel and Tango chariots for added fun (sold separately)

Cons

  • Jon's hat falls off easily

While Clover the Brontosaurus comes with a stable above, this set comes with Min his Dino Ranch rider. Paired up for a reasonable £9, Min can ride Clover, plus her hat can be removed. This is one colour set and teams up nicely with any of the other Dino Ranch toys in the range.

Suitable from: 3 years old and above

Review: "Min and Clover are so colourful! Our son was very excited to open up the packet. It can be quite difficult to get Min on top of Clover, she tends to fall off, but with a little help from mum and dad, and our tot is off playing. This is visually a great toy for our child and we can see how much he enjoys playing with this duo, he imagines them in different scenarios."

Pros

  • Colourful toys
  • Dino and Rancher paired up
  • Durable

Cons

  • Min the rancher is difficult to place on top of Clover the Brontosaurus

As well as Jon and Blitz with a chariot play set (featured above), you can also simply buy the duo themselves. If you're a fan of the show, you'll know these toys match exactly to the characters. They're an impressive, colourful set, plus Jon can ride along on Blitz. Pair them with other sets in the Dino Ranch range to add to the fun.

Suitable from: 3 years old and above

Review:

Pros

  • Colour toys
  • Durable
  • Jon's hat can be removed and he can ride Blitz

Cons

  • Jon isn't easily placed on top of Blitz
