We spoke to these real parent testers to get their review...
How did this product make your life easier?
Laura: I can already see that this would be a huge bonus to have whilst travelling with little ones. Flying long haul especially can be uncomfortable for children and anything that makes them a bit more comfy (and helps them sleep!) is a win in my book.
Alice: My children and I love this product. In the past it was always really tricky on airplanes when they were tired; they aren’t allowed to sit on your knee and can’t sleep in an adult seat. This will make future journeys so much easier as the children will be able to sleep in their own seats. We will all enjoy the start of the holidays more.
Sarah: I have been testing the Seat to Sleep Travel Nest at home but it is designed to be used whilst traveling, it would be brilliant to use on a flight or long bus journey as children are often tired and it is awkward for them to get into a comfortable position to sleep, this product would make life easier as it inflates within seconds and provides children with comfort and the feeling of being secure. It is also quick and easy to deflate and has a wipeable surface.
Would you recommend this to other parents?
Kira: I would recommend the seat to sleep pillow for anyone who is going travelling with children. This should be a a carry on essential when flying and also an item that you don't leave the house without when going to family and friend's houses. This can be used not only for sleeping but also relaxing while watching TV.
Michelle: It will make your aeroplane journey so much easier! It takes so much stress out of the time they are on the aircraft as it encourages them to sit still and eventually go to sleep as it is comfortable. I also love that it is small and easy to transport so it takes up very little space in your bag. The material is wipe clean so easy to keep hygienic (huge plus for me!) and it is so easy to use. The valve helps it be quick and easy to use so the kids aren’t waiting ages for it to inflate.
Elizabeth: There are many aspects of this product that we loved. It is extremely well made and feels durable yet is also comfortable and soft to rest on. My daughter said she felt like she was sleeping on a cloud! She also loved the design. I found it to be practical yet stylish and it was also very easy to pack away into its storage bag.
Would you choose this product above all others on the market?
Laura: I’m not aware of any similar products on the market that allow the child to use the pillow to make themselves more comfortable within the seat itself. I have previously used the inflatable cushions that go in the footwell but actually I think for younger children this would work just as well, if not better. My favourite part of this product (other than its uniqueness) is the lovely fabric design, it’s almost a toy in itself!
Alice: I would choose this product above all others on the market because I cannot think of anything else that does this job for children. Particularly something that is so compact. This product stands out because it is so easy to use, provides a big comfortable cushion and the design is very appealing to young children.
Sarah: I would choose this product above all others because the design is excellent. Where you blow it up there is a button, when you press the button it stops air escaping so it doesn't deflate while you are trying to blow it up, and if you press the button again it allows it to deflate. It comes with a very small bag which comes with a clip which is a brilliant feature, as it makes it easier to carry as it doesn't need to be inside another bag. It is beautiful to look at with the moons and planets pattern and would suit either gender. The material was well chosen as is it's a features silky soft wipe clean fabric.
What changes would you make to this product?
Kira: I'm not sure I would alter anything on the pillow itself. Maybe some nice bright colours and designs and a bigger version for adults! The only issue we had was when my youngest found the latch for the air hole she learnt very quickly how to open it, and that there was a button to press inside.
Michelle: I don’t think I would change anything about this product other than the options for the designs you can get on it. The space design is great and my boys really loved this however if you made it available in a brighter print, it might appeal to mums with little girls a bit more? The price is good, perhaps a little on the high side for the fact you would generally only use it when travelling (although I did use it at home as a comfy pillow too) and this might put people off. Knowing the stress it can cause travelling with young children, it is a great product but if it was slightly cheaper, it might open it up to more people, especially if, like me, you would have to have more than one.
Elizabeth: I struggled to think of things I would change as I love this product so much! I think the only thing I would change is the cost. It is a very niche, specific use product and it is a genius idea but I feel that £25-30 would be a better price point. Especially when there are so many things to buy when taking a flight or going on holiday. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing.
