What they said:
“Book 51 S Pop-Up Modular is amongst Peg Perego's most revealing expressions of Italian technology, design and tailoring excellence. Unique in its class: with a leather look handle, the chassis opens and folds like a book even when the bassinet or seat are attached. The Book 51 S modular system is extremely manoeuvrable: thanks to its off-road technology,it adapts to all surfaces with great agility. It is designed for those seeking a product that offers top performance in a width of just 51 cm, for agile manoeuvring even in small spaces.”

Would you recommend this to other mums?
Yes, I would recommend this pushchair to a friend, in fact I already have! It has so many fabulous design features, it looks great in all different colours and it steers really well. The pram is comfy for baby and lightweight and stylist for mum. It is easy to use and I love that the travel system allows you to transfer the car seat from car to home so smoothly that baby does not need to be woken up.
How has this product made your life easier?
This product has made life so much easier for me as a mum. It has lots of useful attributes that really are brilliant. For example, the way the pram attachments fit the base is easy, the carry cot is well designed and the hood has ventilation and creates a lot of shade to protect baby on warm days. The buggy seat is easy to recline and is so comfy, and as a pushchair, it steers really well and is lightweight. This is a truly great pram and I cannot stress how much easier it made my life as a mum.
Would you choose this product to win?
I think this pushchair should win a Mother & Baby award on every level. It is extremely well thought out from both mum and baby’s point of view. It is safe and stylish and has plenty of longevity as my baby had plenty of room in both attachments.
What changes would you make to this product?
I don’t think there is anything I would change! The pram is perfect – I love the design and its well thought out handy features such as the recline in the bassinet. It’s great to use, lightweight and easy to steer. Moreover, the pram looks lovely and seems very comfortable for my baby. Full marks!

Would you recommend this to other mums?
I would recommend the Peg Perego Book 51 S Modular System to other mums as it is so light and easy to push. It looks really stylish; the fabric is expensive looking and comfortable for my baby. It is easy to remove the seat to turn it or attach the carrycot or car seat. My baby really likes the option of facing me, as the seat on my current pram only faces outwards.
How has this product made your life easier?
This travel system makes life easier as I can quickly change the seat direction and lay the seat down smoothly so my baby can sleep. I also like the option of being able to extend the hood length by unzipping it to provide more shade. As the pram is light, it makes it much easier to push uphill than other prams.
Would you choose this product to win?
I would choose this product to win a Mother & Baby award as it is a very high-quality product with lots of extra features. I love how easy it is to manoeuvre and the ease of changing the seat to face different directions. It looks stylish and is really comfortable for my baby to both sit and sleep in. Also, from a design perspective, the colour and fabric are great too.
What changes would you make to this product?
If I could change one thing about this product it would be the harness unlocking system. It is very easy to open, so much so that my friend’s 17-month-old managed to undo it in a few minutes! My current pushchair has a double unlocking system where you have to push the clips at the side at the same time as the buttons on the front to undo it, which is far safer.

Would you recommend this to other mums?
I would definitely recommend this product to a fellow mum. It is very lightweight, manoeuvres easily and it is easy to turn seat to face you or away from you. It’s a great looking pram, made in a quality fabric in a number of great colours. It also comes with lots of extras like foot muff, rain cover and a changing bag. I love the clever little features like the wind screen on the carry cot for a cold weather, the extendable sun shade and the extendable handle which allows both myself and my partner to push the pushchair comfortably.
How has this product made your life easier?
It is a great product, which features a great carry cot, pop-up seat, car seat and changing bag. The carry cot has a number of great features such as a tilting base, side pockets for small essentials, a hook for hanging toys and wind screen for cold weather. The pop-up seat stands out from the crowd as it has an adjustable hood protecting from the sun. Also, it comes with the foot muff which is extra-long to keep baby warm. The chassis itself comes with the decent size basket with great access, and is very easy to collapse. Finally, the car seat has a great adjustable head rest.

I would definitely buy this product if it was available on a British market. In fact, when we were expecting our son, we were considering buying it, but could not find a local shop to try it out. It is great value for money and it looks like it will last a long time. Lovely Italian design and quality!
What changes would you make to this product?
I can’t fault this travel system – there’s nothing I would change!

Would you recommend this to other mums?
I would recommend this travel system to fellow mums as I absolutely love the design of the pram – it is practical and stylish. I love that it is so compact for getting around the down – a few of my friends struggle to get their prams into coffee shops, but this is not a problem with the Peg Perego. My son seemed very happy in this pram – he seemed comfortable and he loved being able to sit so upright and have a look around. My last pram never sat fully upright, so my son would spend his whole time leaning forwards away from the backrest.
How has this product made your life easier?
From a hygiene perspective, it’s great that you don’t have to touch the wheels to lock them and that when folded, none of the fabric comes into contact with the wheels. The large shopping basket is great and is easy to access, which definitely makes life easier. I love the large extendable hood, which gives good protection from the sun and means I don’t have to fiddle around with extra sun shades. Finally, it is so useful being able to have the seat front facing or reward facing, especially when you first make the transition from the bassinet.
Would you choose this product to win?
There are so many features I like about this pram and for that reason, I would choose for it to win a Mother & Baby award. Although it is expensive, you don’t have to spend extra on accessories as all the essentials are included. I especially like the footmuff which seems lovely and cosy. It feels like a good quality pram, built to last.
What changes would you make to this product?
The harness buckle was very simple to undo – this was great compared to my last pram, which was very difficult and fiddly, especially when holding a wriggly toddler, but also concerning, as my 17-month-son managed to undo it on his own.

Would you recommend this to other dads?
The Book 51 S Modular System is very sleek looking; it’s fashionable and I would feel proud to push my child around in it. The fabric is beautiful; I really like the look of it. It is very comfortable to push. It folds up well and I like that you can keep the carrycot or seat on it when it’s folded.
How has this product made your life easier?
The Book 51 S Modular System makes my life easier as it is very easy to manoeuvre. It is also easy to change the seat direction and to attach and detach the seat, carrycot and car seat. It is easy to take my child in and out of the seat as the bar for my child to hold onto un-attaches on one side.
Would you choose this product to win?
The best thing about the Book 51 S Modular System is its appearance; it is a stunning pram, made in a beautiful expensive looking fabric, available in a lovely choice of colours. However, it is only good for an urban environment; our current pram is an all-terrain and therefore much easier to push up curbs and off road.
What changes would you make to this product?
If I could change one thing about the Book 51 S Modular System, it would be the balance. You have to apply a large amount of force to the handle to pivot the pushchair up a curb with a baby in it. The fulcrum needs to be re-positioned to improve the balance of this product and if this change was made, it would make its functionality vastly better.
